fridoux Posted 13 November 2015 Posted 13 November 2015 A week off for our midfield pairing will be great for them.Drinky and Kante have been outstanding and coming I fresh could be huge. If he goes with Albrighton and Dyer on the wings we have a completely fresh midfield. As others have mentioned Schluup and Mahrez often look drained when they return from long international trips. Put Ulloa and Vardy up front for this one, Ulloa another player with a week off and Vardy who never gets tired. I think we will have too much. At the back both Simpson and Huth have the week off. Morgan has a big trip and Benny or Was could come in for him. i think Kante is international with mali but i can be wrong
weller54 Posted 14 November 2015 Author Posted 14 November 2015 How many international's do Newcastle have playing?
TheLittleBigMan Posted 14 November 2015 Posted 14 November 2015 Tough run coming up so would be nice to bag the 3 pts. Score first and the fans will be moaning instantly, can see us being too much for these lot. Fingers crossed everyone comes back in good shape from the internationals. 1-3 to city. Up the foxes.
davieG Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 England boss Roy Hodgson has said that Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy is likely to miss out on the encounter with France as his treatment hasn’t gone down too well, The Sun reports. The goal-scoring striker was absent from England’s clash with Spain as a knock to the knee during Leicester’s victory over Watford caused fluid on the joint. While it hasn’t been deemed serious, Hodgson has hinted that he is unlikely to feature against France next Tuesday and he may even miss out on the Foxes’ upcoming clash with Newcastle United. “Vardy would be touch and go for Tuesday. We were hoping with treatment and rest he’d have been a lot better. I don’t think it is. His chances were about 50/50,” Hodgson said, according to The Sun. It is a great shame for Vardy as many predicted that the non-league striker would have been given a runout in his favoured centre-forward role in at least one of the two friendly matches. The 28-year-old has been in superb form for the Foxes this season, scoring 12 Premier League goals in as many games as well as at least one strike in his last nine consecutive league matches. He has already broken the record as the first Englishman to notch in nine straight league games, and another goal at Newcastle would see him tie Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s all-time record of 10. However, his well-being is more important than any individual record and Leicester must be careful not to rush him back in the event he is not fully fit and susceptible to further damage.
glen parva fox Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 Think it will be down to Vardy, he knows this will be his best chance to equal the record. Newcastles defence are awful.
lgfualol Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 If Vardy doesnt play who do we play instead? Ulloa and Okazaki?
conLAD logan Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 Vardy will play, I think he's been playing with injuries for a while now anyways so hopefully this near two week break in Spain and England will do him good
weller54 Posted 15 November 2015 Author Posted 15 November 2015 Vardy will probably score in the opening 10 minutes.. Then take him off and rest him!
NewEnglandFox Posted 16 November 2015 Posted 16 November 2015 If Vardy doesnt play who do we play instead? Ulloa and Okazaki? I was just thinking about this because of the Football Forum. I would go Ulloa and Okazaki and play to Leo's strengths in the box. However Shinji would need to play a more offensive role especially for the counter. Mahrez and Albrighton will shine more than ever with a real target man. I'm not too excited about this combo but these are the hurdles we have to overcome to keep our position. I hope Shinji could hit the ground running on attack in support. There's another if with his fitness after getting back from Cambodia, he's only played the first half in each game after those breaks. And as a team we went down 0-2 twice. We can't keep climbing 2 goal mountains even though we always seem to be able to. If Shinji can't go 70'+, I wouldn't start him. For a loner Strike either Leo or Kram (hopefully he's at match fitness). And then crazy combos like Leo/Schlupp or Leo/Mahrez. But please Vardy, be good enough to go.
AmyLGK Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 My husband supports Newcastle! When we lost to them last session it started our bad run, let's ensure history doesn't repeat itself (and I have bragging rights in my house). Gonna miss this, I'm dressing up as a cat (santa had cats helping him apparently)for a Christmas market...

Shinji can't do 60 minutes most weeks on the evidence of the season so far, and aside from the first two games he doesn't look like he can do much more than play a supporting role....but we live in hope. On that basis if JV doesn't play it has to be Kramaric and Ulloa. Let's see what they can do together - at not much under £20m between it has to be the best option
KFS Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 He ain't gonna play Kramaric. It would be Shinji and Ulloa if Vardy can't play.
les-tah Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 If it is shinji hope he has got his shooting boots on because he looks scared of shooting for Leicester!
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Should win quite easily. Their fans are the worst for supporting their team when they go behind. At least they stay in the ground #plasticmackems
fuchsntf Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Anybody heard/read what the situation is with the injuries to Jamie Vardy. ???????
Xen Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Anybody heard/read what the situation is with the injuries to Jamie Vardy. ??????? He's got a broken/fractured wrist, a dodgy hip, bad knees, a groin injury, man flu and he stubbed his toe last Thursday. Think that about sums up what the papers are saying so far...

Dan Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 I'd have contemplated Kramaric behind Okazaki but I'm having flashbacks to Hull. In theory those two ought to play alright together but there was just nothing at all.
My Nads Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 He ain't gonna play Kramaric. It would be Shinji and Ulloa if Vardy can't play. I think he would go with Okazaki and Ulloa up front with Dodoo on the bench. Think Vardy will play though.
Foxhateram Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Vardy is out. We're doomed! The end is nigh. Run for the shelter....
maddog Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Vardy is out. We're doomed! The end is nigh. Run for the shelter.... I think we will win without him. Thankfully it's only Newcastle. Still I will weep before the match and probably during if he is definitely out injured.
lgfualol Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Ulloa and Okazaki in for me if Vardy can't play. Dont think Mr Chip should get a chance as he has been useless, sends a bad message to those playing well when they get a chance.
Ric Flair Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Ulloa HAS to play if Vardy is injured. It's also Okazaki's big chance to play as a main striker as he'll run on to Ulloa's knock downs and hold up play. If he doesn't at least register a shot on or off target then he can go in the bin.
