fox766 Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 Chelsea fans would actually be delighted for CR if he won the title and they couldn't - he's held in very high regard there. Yeah thats what I meant just didn't say it very well and RA would probably not be that pleased either Probably just be Jose who would be pissed off. Hahaha fùcked that up didn't I. My comments are in the middle of your post rather than at the end
Detroit Blues Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 I think Leicester has the advantage of playing with house money. There's no expectations on them to finish in a certain position. There's no pressure on them about what a disappointment it will be if they do not win the title. We just get to sit back and see how far they can go.
Stadt Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 Could do with another goal scorer, whether that's another wide midfield player or a second striker/no 10 because the goals aren't spread very well currently. GK as back up or as an upgrade on Kasper
foxfanazer Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 Fergie also said 'My hump, My hump, My humps' so I wouldn't get too eccited just yet
Webbo Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 I really don't want to start thinking about the possibility of winning the league yet. Maybe if we're still in with a chance in March.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 No chance are we winning the league. It's laughable! We are top because sides don't treat us as a top, top team, as soon as they do, we will drop. I do, however, think we can finish top 6 and to do so would be excellent!!

I do, however, think we can finish top 6 and to do so would be excellent!! I'm sorry, but with us sitting top two points ahead of second after 15 games, there is a chance we are winning the league. It might be relatively small, but it's not non-existant as if we were in Aston Villa's position. If we had fluked it to the top, I can understand fans being dismissive, but we are there on merit. And we look better and better with every week that goes by! Frightening stuff...
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 Yeah winning the league off my radar still. I'm still thinking what an achievement it would be to manage top 4.
foxfanazer Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 No point fretting over our finishing position yet. Just enjoying the ride tbh
Kitchandro Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 I really don't want to start thinking about the possibility of winning the league yet. Maybe if we're still in with a chance in March. I'd say end of January. If we're in a similar position then and we've made a couple of good signings I'd start to think we could do it. At this point we should certainly be taking Europe of some description seriously IMO.
ScouseFox Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 I really don't want to start thinking about the possibility of winning the league yet. Maybe if we're still in with a chance in March. let your hair down a bit webster some of us have been pretty sure we'd win it since last march

We are top because we've been better than everyone else. Simple as that.
ithuriel Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 If we are still in with a shout come the end of march I might start to believe , I'm going to be happy with a hopeful European spot at present and see how things go
Dan Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 I can't deal with us being this high. It's making me think we can actually win the league.

We are top because sides don't treat us as a top, top team, as soon as they do, we will drop. I do, however, think we can finish top 6 and to do so would be excellent!! i think other top top teams will take us more seriously. man utd although not being very good managed to nulify us and play their boring defensive football in our own back yard. the philosophy of taking one game at a time with the aim of reaching 40 points has worked so far. even if we do lose against chelsea/liverpool/man city/arsenal as long as we beat the rest we'll still be right up there because so far, those teams have all dropped points against opposition we are beating. it will all work itself out. as crazy as it sounds im not dismissing a possible league title but as others have said, we dont really need to think about that right now.

You will no doubt excuse yourself by claiming to be a 'realist'. Teams are losing to us because they don't treat us as a top team, bullshit rubbish. If they are all that unprofessional, we have every chance of winning the league.
Donut Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 Forget its Leicester City, and forget its Mahrez, Vardy, Drinkwater etc. If the team top of the league had the top scorer in the league, the most in form winger in the league, hadnt lost an away game, scored the most goals in the league and had scored in every game, youd legitimately say this team could win the title. If it was Aguero, De Bruyne, Man City had just beaten Swansea 3-0, people would be sitting there saying what a marker theyve laid down. Its the fact that its Leicester City that makes it seem impossible. BUT If we keep everyone fit, and everyone keeps firing a little longer, it IS possible. Now obviously, this is a HUGE longshot. But from what ive seen so far this season, weve definitely been the best, and most consistent side in the division. The pressure come the end of the season would be of a level of enormity i couldnt comprehend though if we had say, 8 games left and had to match Arsneal or Man City's results to win the title. Wow.
skmanuk Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 Daily Mirror online poll "Who will win the Premier League this season" 1000 responses so far Arsenal. 35% Leicester 20% Man U 18% Man C. 15% Tottenham 8% Others starting to believe now!
biggs Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 Regardless of where we end up, the run we're on is something special. I'll enjoy each game as they come and if at the end of the season there's a chance to be top, then I'll be hoping our captain doesn't slip!!!
Riyad_Suarez Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 That's gone down from 21% when I voted..... #Ranieriout
LVG Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 Fergie thought moyes wwas a good manager. Hes gotten deluded with age.
My Nads Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 For good reason. They have player proven at those teams or elsewhere, their benches are worth hundreds of millions, let along the starting 11's. Whilst of course it's possible, (me walking on the moon is possible), it's massively massively unlikely for plenty of reasons. But if you were sitting in your space ship you had just landed on the moon, you would have a much better chance of walking on the moon! ...WTF am I talking about!

Your first paragraph is very true. The second one, remember how many big sides slipped up last season on the run in against relegation teams. We said then, you can't rely on the top 4 beating them to help us out. Sunderland v Arsenal I think was one stand out.
