Fergie thinks we can

We probably do have a chance now, even if it's still a slim one. We don't need to strengthen massively as there are teams with much better squads than ours on paper but who cannot get near us right now because we are so effective as a unit. We just need sensible improvement if we can get it. Another goal scorer who would compliment this set up and probably some cover in goal and defence and i'm happy. It's hard to look through this team and see where we could imrpove without being very harsh on the current XI. The number 10 role is the only real weakness at present and you could argue an even better Albrighton on the left and a better Simpson at right back but they are both performing superbly so why spoil it?

I'd start off with the Goal Keeper, then work from there. Schmeichel's stats are terrible. A top tier keeper would go a long way to securing a good challenge.

World's gone mad... people actually saying we can win the league. :cap:

Real Madrid next season in the Champions league final .....    1 nil Vardy.      :)

Of course we CAN. People just seem to write us off "because it's Leicester". If Manchester United or Chelsea (ie a traditional big club) were in this position, even Liverpool or Arsenal who both haven't won the title in years, then it would be ok and they'd be title contenders but because we're not a big club - we're only Leicester City - people seem to look at it differently.

We're very good as a team, and that's what matters isn't it? We have the odd technical player in the side, Mahrez for instance, but as a team we're solid and compact and the whole team seems to be happy playing alongside each other. This is far more important than just having 11 great players (which Chelsea and Manchester City seem to have at the minute).

For good reason. They have player proven at those teams or elsewhere, their benches are worth hundreds of millions, let along the starting 11's. Whilst of course it's possible, (me walking on the moon is possible), it's massively massively unlikely for plenty of reasons.

I see what you're saying, somewhat agree too, but I've seen nothing to suggest there are teams better than us.

Agree, they aren't. But it will take a whole season of no injuries and no drops in form for all our top players to do it. That doesn't happen very often.

If by miracle we made it through to the last 10 games in with a chance, could they stand that pressure?

While I would refuse to set expectations higher than top 6 at this stage, part of me thinks this is the golden opportunity which we might not see again for a long, long time.

We have the 'headstart', i.e. no-one can take the points we've already earned, we're showing no signs of slowing down and the title contenders are all showing inconsistency and weakness.

Other teams will start to take us more seriously now and will try to counter us by adapting to our style of play (see Man Utd).

But if we can negotiate these situations by asking different questions than we currently do, there's no reason why we cannot keep pushing until the end.

Next season will likely be an entirely different kettle of fish, so I'm with Sir Ferguson here. If we're a handful of points ahead of 5th in January, we have to gamble and invest for that CL place at the very least.

I feel very uncomfortable with people saying we could win the league.

I still laugh at even the thought of us winning the league. People are now sounding like if we end up in the Europa League it will be disappointing.

If we're still in with a shot come the window and we invest, then who knows what's possible!

It just feels far to early in the season for this kinda talk for me. It's nice to dream and get caught up in all the hype, but there's so long to go and so many points left to play for. We're in a great position and I'm struggling to contain my excitement, but I've decided to wait until at least February until I give myself permission to believe  lol

The next 10-12 games will be massively telling. If we come through these and we're within 4 or 5 points of the top 4 and have no key injuries/suspensions, I really think we could finish the season on a real high. Those next 6/7 away games are really tough though, if we can pick up a few points in those it will be a massive help as we will be taking points off our rivals (ha!)

Could you imagine how smug claudio would be if we won the league at chelsea how fùcked off would the whole of chelsea be.

Chelsea fans would actually be delighted for CR if he won the title and they couldn't - he's held in very high regard there.

Probably just be Jose who would be pissed off.

I'd imagine if Chelsea were 10th and we were one point clear of Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool & Spurs on the last day of the season in the closest title race in history the Chelsea fans would almost be cheering Leicester on as much as the Leicester fans.

They'd love it if they played a part in stopping a rival win it and for Claudio.

Looks like a lot of people seem to think its us and arsenal for the title (did i just ****ing type that!?)

just match or beat their results every week and we are fine!
