FLAN Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Delaney ain't done bad. Was with a palace fan last night who raves about him
Carl the Llama Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Knockaert, gave him away on a free and hes scoring for fun at the moment.  Yakubu, 11 goals in 20 games spoke for itself, no matter how lazy he was.  Lloyd Dyer, honestly do believe he would of been a very good player in the prem last season.  Waghorn, loved him. Not good enough though which was a massive shame.  Wood, scoring a few for Leeds at the moment. With no striker but Vardy scoring, think we should of kept him.  Marshall, thought they was more to see from him.  Bamba, which defender can take on 5 players successfully every time he tries?  Gelson Fernandes, thought he was a decent player at the time.  Fryatt and Hume, See Waghorn.  I would agree Knockaert is a player who we'll always regret that it didn't quite work out in our PL era for, but wasn't his transfer more down to personal issues than anything else?
Sampson Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Peter Shilton  He went for the money though, we never could've stopped that one. He was actually pretty hated by Leicester fans for a few years after he moved to Stoke, he used to get dog's abuse every time we played Stoke or Forest when he was in goal.

I reckon the real base fans, nevrr hated him, like you mention, it was a foregone conclusion, he would leave. I know very few people , fans from that era that hated him...
CharlieCharles Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 I would agree Knockaert is a player who we'll always regret that it didn't quite work out in our PL era for, but wasn't his transfer more down to personal issues than anything else? I always thought it was due to a fall out with Pearson, from what i remember when that interview came out about calling us a stepping stone he stopped playing. I may be wrong though.
LCFC FOX Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Knockaert - think he could of done well this season under Ranieri. Letting him go on a free is a mistake. Hobbs - basically what others have said Gradel - could of fitted in very well with our side Waghorn & Marshall - a little different because they let them selves down. They both had massive portenital when they first joined us and could of gone on to better things. But they sort of just went crap in the end. Even though Waggy is scoring!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Nick Platnauer. Then I wouldn't have to put up with his farting at work every morning.
Bamba's Babes Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 What former foxes player do you believe the club should never had sold, Nugent also has this player ever come back to haunt us later on his career? Not yet. But he might do next season if Boro get promoted.. Nugent scoring in the Premier League? Don't make me laugh.
Bamba's Babes Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Sol Bamba. Carried us at times. Loved the guy. Knockeart. He could have been our No.10.
funkyrobot Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Nugent scoring in the Premier League? Don't make me laugh. He scored a few last year with limited playing time, including a goal of the season contender at Anfield.
Izzy Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Nugent scoring in the Premier League? Don't make me laugh. Â
Dan Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 I agree with Knockaert. He could do some great things with a football. He wasn't without his weaknesses but he was young enough to work on them and he had a hell of a lot of natural ability.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Knockaert behind Vardy swapping between him and mahrez during the game would destroy defenders imo
Finn Claw II Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Knocky, Gradel, McCauley As another poster pointed out Collymore out and Akinbyi in was a joke
Guest bss9401 Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Gary Lineker. We have a history (alongside many clubs) of what might have been but that set up had a real chance of pushing on for great things with more investment. Although we all knew he would go, it is likely that Lineker would have stayed at least one more year if he saw a real chance of a top 6 finish. Everton were not that much better than us while we had Lineker and Smith up front. Sadly for us they had the history, ambition and money so it was not going to happen.
weller54 Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Seriously..... David Nish.. And to bloody Derby!
copunk Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Matt piper, the potential he had was astonishing, massive shame was happened to his career
Leicesterpool Posted 8 December 2015 Author Posted 8 December 2015 Letting Knocky go was a shame as I still feel he had a lot to offer, just couldn't get the game time last season and maybe that's where you could say Pearson let him down. I think if Ranieri was in charge before Knocky's departure then I don't think he'd have left.  Gelson Fernandes in his short time here, what a player he looked to have been. Did Pearson get rid of him or was it Gelson wanted to go following the departure of Sven?  Another one comes to mind is Lloyd Dyer.
Donut Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Not that he haunted us after leaving, but we never saw the best of Theo Zagorakis. Â A European Championships winner and 100 cap winner for Greece, he was held in the shadows of Lennon and Izzet and we never got to see his true class on the field. Â Certainly Gradel in recent times, but no one has a crystal ball. His end product was lacking when we had him, although he has developed into a quality player now of course.
