Benguin Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 Not to mention the two teams who can catch us next week play each other!!!!!!!!!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 We need that 40 to 42 points to be safe I feel
Guest Bilo Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 We can probably stop playing around now. We're not getting relegated. We have 35 points and 2 wins from the remaining 22 games would keep us up, so we're as good as safe. We know it, the opposition know it and, most importantly, every single person at Belvoir Drive knows it. The transfer window will now be very interesting - nobody will be wanting to leave to save their Premier League careers as Leicester City will still be a Premier League club in August 2016. More than that, we're a Premier League club that could achieve something that will go down in history - a team breaking the hegemony of the mega bucks clubs from London and the North West to qualify for the biggest club competition in the world. What player wouldn't want that on his CV? What player would rather be on and off the bench at Manchester United rather than helping to create a genuine football fairy tale? If we achieve it as a club, it will go around the world as one of the greatest achievements in football history. The players will be legends, world famous. Leicester City Football Club now stands on the verge of something incredibly special. Smaller clubs across Europe have turned themselves into something much more - Villarreal, PSV, Wolfsburg and Napoli to name but a few. Why can't Leicester be added to that list? We may never have a greater opportunity, and our own players should know that as well as prospective transfer targets. This is a hugely exciting time, but the next five months could be the biggest in the 131 year history of this football club.
SystonFox Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 Oddly I'm starting to believe. Not just the top four thing either. The other thing. Yes that other thing
lgfualol Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 I'd like to thank my mum and dad for bringing me up in Leicester so I could enjoy moments like these.
Exeter Fox Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 Yeah, I really think we should go for it in January now (without upsetting the balance of the team of course). We may never have an opportunity like this again.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 We have to be considered one of the best teams in the world ATM Let that sink in
AKCJ Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 The fact that we are nearly 30 points clear of Villa and it ain't even Christmas yet pleases me.
SecretPro Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 I don't think any fan of any club anywhere in the world could have enjoyed the last 12 months as much as a Leicester fan.
shailen Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 We are winning and destroying teams that we are outplaying. Not scraping wins, we are outclassing teams. People did laugh when I said last year this could be our best ever team.
weller54 Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 We need that 40 to 42 points to be safe I feel Bollocks!.. Feel nervous now!
weller54 Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 Oddly I'm starting to believe. Not just the top four thing either. The other thing. Yes that other thing Dont be so ridiculous.. Rachel will never marry you!!
Jakemoore Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 I'd like to thank my dad for beating me as a child growing up in London and therefore forcing me to be a Leicester fan. For 10 years I resented it but now it has all been worth it No seriously, being a Leicester fan in London is so much fun right now!
Raj Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 20 ahead of ChelseaThis stat in itself is amazing!!! I'd like to thank my dad for beating me as a child growing up in London and therefore forcing me to be a Leicester fan. For 10 years I resented it but now it has all been worth it No seriously, being a Leicester fan in London is so much fun right now! Dares you wear your City top until the new year!!!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 The question is when do we play the good teams? the teams we get slaughtered by ?
goose2010 Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 The lowest we can be on Christmas Day is 2nd serious WTF is going on! We could quite realistically be 4 clear on Christmas Day serious WTF is going on!
car1os Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 I'd like to thank my dad for beating me as a child growing up in London and therefore forcing me to be a Leicester fan. For 10 years I resented it but now it has all been worth it No seriously, being a Leicester fan in London is so much fun right now! So is being a Leicester fan in Manchester
Brizzle Fox Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 So is being a Leicester fan in Manchester Add Bristol to that. My son is 6 years old. When he plays football in the playground with his mates they pretend to be vardy and mahrez. That just shows how we are now part of the national consciousness. We really can make this our time.
Foxhateram Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Being a fox in Exeter is also amazing. People around here are actually talking about football atm and it's all about us. Normally all you hear is Rugby and often you hear about the tigers but to hear about city so much us incredible. At the school I work in the children are all desperate to talk to me about Vardy and Mahrez and how we are top of the league. It's unbelievable. Long may this continue!
Guest Bilo Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 It's unbelievable up here in Skegness, and the fact that it's normally Nottingham-On-Sea somehow makes it all the sweeter. All the kids want to talk about is Jamie Vardy and Leicester in the Champions League.
Foxy27 Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 I work in London and I'm going to hunt down the Chelsea boys in the office this morning!
