In good company.

In fact, truly highlighting just how impressive Vardy's potency is when bearing in mind his age, he's one of just four players aged 30 or over to have scored over six goals in any of Europe's top five leagues this season.

And the other names within that elite club show how difficult a challenge that is. Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski and Zlatan Ibrahmovic are genuine world-class entities and among the greatest goalscorers of this millennium, yet Vardy is holding his own against them.

He’s got to be eying up the top 10. 38 goals in the next 2 or 3 seasons would be a fantastic return but not unrealistic..

I doubt he is eyeing up any targets, just trying to score as many as possible. We all know at his age he is one bad injury away from retirement. Let's just enjoy the phenomenon while he's here. He's already a legend even if he never scored again.

Vardy's goals in total number of games played is very good. Slightly worse than Ian Wright. But if you consider the amount of games he has scored his last 111 league goals in, his goals per game ratio is nearly adds good as van nistlerooy!

There is no need to massage his figures, they are phenomenal. Only 6 players have scored 100+ PL goals at a better rate than Vardy. Wright, Kane, Aguero, Henry, Shearer, Van Persie. You don't need to caveat his first season even with that poor start to life in the PL he is statistically the seventh best striker in PL history. He could very well finish his career top 5 but even top 10 of all time (PL) is pretty fvcking special.

It's not really massaging, just acknowledgement that he played most of his first season in the top flight not as an out and out striker. All other comparable strikers came into the league as main striker and usually from another top division club.

Basically, his stats are incredible.

You could argue Henry started out as a winger, Wright scored a lot of goals pre premier league, Rooney moved back into a midfield role, Kane started out as a teenager finding his feet 3 goals in 15 matches before his break out season which started slowly. It's noteworthy Vardy's first season but not in comparison to other strikers every one had their challenges to face and all great strikers overcome them.

I know he scored his first in September in the 5-3 Man U game, and then his second in the March 3-4 Spus game - does anyone know how many games he's scored his 111 goals in?
