5 years ago today we beat Chelsea 2-1 at home and sent Mourinho packing.

Leicester's 25 matches running up to and including that game:

W 17

D 6

L 2

Leicester's 24 matches before that:

W 2

D 5

L 17

The biggest ever turn around in form in PL?

That is feckin incredible 💙💙

Respect to Rodgers for his points haul but King Claudio won the League. Maybe, just maybe BR can do the same. :scarf:

Look at Rodgers goal difference

That is phenomenal.

We’ve not come back from 2 goals down to get a result since December 2016.

A loss to Everton means that’s four defeats at the King Power Stadium for City in the Premier League this season, the same number they made in the whole of last season.

And last term, those losses came against Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Southampton, with three of those four teams finishing inside the top four.

It would be a real turn-up if three of Aston Villa, West Ham, Fulham and Everton finished in the top four this season.

The loss also extended Brendan Rodgers’ personal defeat streak to Carlo Ancelotti. They’ve now gone head-to-head four times, with Ancelotti triumphing on each occasion, twice for Real Madrid against Liverpool, and now twice for the Toffees over City.

One that doesn't really effect us but does involve us.

Man Utd equalled the record last night - matching Spurs in 1960 - for scoring 2+ goals in 10 consecutive away matches.

Fittingly, Man Utd's next away game is against us :D

Finally. A record that won't be broken against us.

Only furthered.

First time Rodgers has beaten a Mourinhos side.

So far season he’s beaten Guardiola, Mourinho, Bielsa, Arteta and Nuno. Some achievement.

Sadly this season he’s also lost to Dean Smith, Scott Parker and David ****ing Moyes.

Allardyce:

Vardy trails Harvey Barnes in the open-play goal standings.

While Vardy tops City’s scoring with 13 in all competitions, seven of those have come from the penalty spot. With Barnes’ rasping shot in the first half adding a seventh to his tally, he has, perhaps surprisingly, scored more often from open play than City’s talisman.

Barnes’ seventh of the campaign also means he has equalled his number of goals from last season in half the time. It took him 42 games to reach that total last term, while he’s only played 20 matches so far in 2020-21
