And yet there is still a debate on if we should expand the KP. Get it done

City’s unwanted record broken by Sheffield United

City owe thanks to Pedro Porro after he scored the second of Tottenham’s three goals at Sheffield United on the final day of the season. That finish was the 103rd goal let in by the Blades this campaign, eclipsing City’s record for the leakiest defence in a 38-match top-flight season.

Back in 1909, City conceded 102 goals, but Sheffield United’s troubles this season mean they’re the new record-holders with 104. The worst-ever defence in a top-flight campaign remains Ipswich Town in 1964 as they conceded 121 goals, but across 42 fixtures.

Including next season, each top flight season since 1977/78 that we have been involved in has included Southampton.

That is one of the craziest given the amount of times both sides have been relegated/promoted in that time

Hmmm. Not sure. Between 1978 and 2004 we were relegated six times. Saints not at all.

More that I don't think Southampton are given the credit for their top flight status over the years. Majority of the last 60 years have been in the old Division One then the Premier League.

Southampton haven’t been relegated that often though they were a top flight staple for decades.

Only Chelsea have played more Premier League games than us without conceding 7 or more goals in a game.

So we need to put 7 passed Enzo's squad this year? lol

Not exactly us… but, after beating United on Monday, Palace are guaranteed to finish on, between 40-49pts for the 11th consecutive season.

In that time Leicester have:

 - Won the Championship 🏆

 - Great escape season

 - Won the Premier League 🏆

 - Made the Champions League QF’s

 - Won the FA Cup 🏆

 - Won the Community Shield 🏆

 - Made a European Semi Final

 - Been relegated

 - Won the Championship (again) 🏆

Know which I’d rather! Never dull being a Leicester fan🎢

Wouldn't mind repeating that list of achievements again 😂

Vastly outperforming our xG -- by almost half a goal per match.  Probably more due to Mads than to brilliant finishing.

Not at all reassuring, as this stat tends to regress to the mean over the long run.

Don't see how our exceptional goals scored to expected goals ratio has anything to do with the keeper.

There's people that want us to lose in cups so we can do a Palace.

We’ve now equaled that record, a sneaky 2-1 win against Ipswich and this team is officially title favourites.

We didn’t concede against Bournemouth?

I believe you are right.  I was reading that as expected goal difference, but it's only the attacking side.  We really have been converting despite worse and fewer chances than most other sides.

Given how many we've scored, that suggests we have a shed load of shots each match, which isn't true. :dunno:

no it doesn't, not least since it clearly shows only Ipswich have had less shots. it suggests we've got a very good shot conversion rate.
