ScouseFox Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 claudio 6 - subs came too late imo, would've been much more comfortable with shinji on about half an hour earlier. but we won so maybe he knew what he was doing. kasper 7 - great save from costa simpson 7 huth 7 morgan 9 - big bad wes is back fuchs 7 albrighton 9 - how he was still running in injury time is beyond me. he put a cross in after about an hour and looked as if he barely had enough energy to kick the ball. great assist. did he job basically perfectly kante 9 - standard kingy 7 - standard riyad 9 - what we expect by now isn't it ulloa 6 - was left on to hold the ball up and, er, didn't. good first half though. vardy 8 drinky/subs - n/a chelsea 5 - not bad last half hour but just no effort, spirit, etc. ability only gets you so far. they don't even look like they've got much ability anymore. ref 5
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Another game where Wes Morgan goes under the radar despite giving a colossal performance.

Harry - LCFC Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Another game where Wes Morgan goes under the radar despite giving a colossal performance. I think we should wait until we get the results before we say things like that
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Ulloa and Kasper 7, Kante and Mahrez 9, the rest all 8's, Drinky/Inler/Oka n/a Opposition 4 Ref 4 Claudio go. as if how he isn't at 100% every week must just be other teams fans on here trolling.
Meltonfossefox Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Morgan absolute class last night. Kante could walk into any side in the land imo
Dan Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Schmeichel - Thought he had a pretty good game and made a good save as well. 7 Simpson - Loses a mark for the goal coming from his side, but otherwise fairly solid for me. 6 Huth - Loves a yellow card but he's looking more and more like the solid bloke who turned our defence around last year. 7 Morgan - You've got to hand it to Morgan really. Nearly an ever-present last season, two tournaments in different continents in the summer and has walked back in to be an ever-present this season, and has really upped his game. He's convinced me he's a very capable centre half at this level. He was fantastic last night. 9 Fuchs - He does give away some cheap free kicks but that's about the only aspect of his game I can knock. Very composed and a really sweet left foot. He'll score this season. 8 Mahrez - Hitting the heights I hoped he would. Fantastic talent and arguably the league's best player this season. His part in both goals were Messi-esque. 9 Drinkwater - Not on long enough. N/A Kante - I think people are finally twigging onto this bloke. What a player. I think Vardy's met his match in terms of energy. He's improving the attacking side of his game as well. Just a brilliant midfielder. 9 Albrighton - Works his bollocks off, shame he kept putting the crosses in the air as Courtois was having them every time. He's a nuisance for the opposition though and he's playing really well, yet another assist. 8 Ulloa - Absolute donkey at times but very effective at others. Won a hell of a lot in the air. 7 Vardy - He seems to be a bit quieter in games these days, but keeps scoring goals. The run and finish for his goal was that of a natural goalscorer at this level though. He's scoring all types this year. 8 Subs King - Thought King did pretty well. Won us the ball back on a number of occasions. 7 Inler - Not really on long enough. Okazaki - See Inler. Ranieri - Tactics spot on again. Only criticism is maybe Inler should've come on a bit earlier as they were killing us in midfield, but never mind. I thought we handled the five minutes of injury time like a top side. What exactly did Chelsea force in that time? Our instinct is to be well under the cosh, but they hardly had a sniff. We're looking defensively solid and are still creating chances. 8 Chelsea - You could see the natural ability but the fight just isn't there. The likes of Hazard & Costa are a joke at the minute, I'd not have either near our side. 6 Referee - Thought he was very inconsistent in his awarding of cards. 4
NewEnglandFox Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 claudio 6 - subs came too late imo, would've been much more comfortable with shinji on about half an hour earlier. but we won so maybe he knew what he was doing. I thought it was a much more difficult game than you're giving him credit for as you gave him a 6. He lost a sub due to Drinky's early injury which always complicates things. Then in the 2nd half he had to deal with Leo basically being a zombie because Chelsea had already won 8 corners and at least 2 other attacking set pieces. I think Claudio was forced to keep Leo on as changing to Shinji would have obviously put us at a disadvantage in that department with Chelsea seeming to win them at will. However from the 70'+ on, Chelsea never won another set piece which I think wrongly makes it look like a bad decision not to take Leo off. I thought Leo for Shinji was going to be Claudio's clockwork 67' sub even though I would have been frightened defending set pieces. I thought the change from Mahrez to Inler was brilliant. I would have liked to see it a few minutes earlier to disrupt Chelsea's obvious building momentum. Then the final sub was more of a late tactical time killer and momentum disrupter but Shinji came in and exceeded expectations for such a late substitution. It ended up being 3 great substitutions. GG Claudio. If I would have known Shinji was going to play so well, I would have liked to see that change for Vardy 5 minutes earlier. He was fresh and everyone else was gassed. The first time he ran at Chelsea, they weren't ready for it and it was beautiful.
okie fox Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Kante and Albrighton were brilliant. Morgan dealt with Costa and Simpson with Hazard before he went off. I wasn't a fan of Simpson last season but he seems to have turned his game (and his life?) around. Fuchs was also good. Mahrez only needed half a yard to curl a goal in and also made the assist for Vardy, who left the centre backs for dead. The ref seemed biased towards Chelsea, especially with regard to Ulloa.
Kinowe Soorie Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Morgan was a BEAST against Chelsea. His best performance to date?
kingcarr21 Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Westley, Kante, Fuchs, Mahrez I bet he could if he wanted to
ThaiFox Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Ranieri - 9 - Not much wrong in both team selection, tactics, passion and subs. Schmeichel - 8 - Good one on one save against Costa. Thought he did well all match. Simpson - 7 - Good game apart from the cross coming in from his side for their goal. Playing well at the moment. Huth - 7 - Solid game, but must watch these bookings as it's going to cost us. He's so lucky he hasn't been sent off this year. One point off because of this. Morgan - 8 - Excellent game. Very solid. Would still like him to show more leadership at corners or set pieces. Fuchs - 8 - Excellent again. I can't think of a better left back anywhere at the moment. What a great signing, and a good leader in the back line. Mahrez - 9 - Once again he stepped up to live with the hype. Chelsea looked terrified of both him and Vardy. Drinkwater - 7 - Not really around long enough for a proper mark, but he did well in his short match. I hope he's not seriously injured. Kante - 9 - My MOTM. Like Fuchs, Kante has been a very special signing. I bet 19 other P/L teams wished they had bought him! Albrighton - 8 - Assist and worked very hard throughout the match. Really like this guy in the side. Ulloa - 7 - I thought he did well. Won a lot in the air, both up front and in defense. I still think we look a more balanced team with him in the side. Vardy - 8 - Chelsea were scared stiff of him. Very well taken goal and his usual very high workrate. Subs King - 7 - Didn't work so well with Kante as Drinky does, but overall played OK. Inler - 7 - I thought in the short time he was on he calmed things down when Chelsea looked to be really up for the fightback. Would have liked him on sooner. Okazaki - 5 - Not really on for long enough, but he just looks clumsy to me at the moment. Chelsea - 5 - They have obvious quality, but ziltch team spirit and little fight. I thought Terry was dire. Officials - 5 - I thought MC was thinking too much about previous after match comments from a certain Chelsea manager. Inconsistent throughout and generally favoured Chelsea.
foxfanazer Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Wes, Kante, Mahrez 9 Vardy, Fuchs, Albrighton 8 7's for the rest Claudio 8- an early forced change is difficult in this sort of game but kvoverall he got it right Chelsea - 6 You can still see the quality but zero desire Ref- 5 ok
Leicesterpool Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 So many good performances on Saturday, Man Of The Match though for me went Kante.
Raw Dykes Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 So many good performances on Saturday, Man Of The Match though for me went Kante. Saturday?
Steven Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 So many good performances on Saturday, Man Of The Match though for me went Kante.
Carl the Llama Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Well he isn't talking about Chelsea where Riyad was the obvious motm so he must be having a premonition for Everton.
Guest Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Nice to see Albrighton getting some acknowledgement.
