foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Gerard Deulofeu is the biggest bitchboy in the top flight, what a minty little tinman Poor mans Mahrez
Thracian Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Think it's far to say now, we had a dip in form when we first got promoted. We're back to our normal league dominating form now! People forget that even when we were struggling to collect points and heading for the bottom of the Premiership last season we were never getting hammered. It was just the little things we were missing or being punished for. A slight change of system and of emphasis suited the team we had much better. This season we've added several players who have clearly strengthened an already competent team and Ranieri's added the cream by being so tactically astute and intelligent in the way he squeezes still more out of people. Look at the improvement in Morgan, Albrighton, Vardy. Mahrez and Drinkwater to name the five that most come to mind. It's been a joy to see much like our football. Today just showed we're as capable of winning as ugly as pretty and as willing to grab a result as to rip teams apart. The mark of champions? Giving ability in every team, winning to me is about how much you work on the details and how much you collectively want it. And I wouldn't swap our squad for anyone's.
Robin JD Popley Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Whose going to be top at Christmas Riyad? Us? GET THE BUBBLY OUT!!!

dedlock Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Remarkable! Bottom last Xmas, Top this. Dreamland continues.
st albans fox Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Pedantic but we can't be 5 pnts clear at Xmas
MC Prussian Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Mahrez still saying the target is 40 points Humble pie for everyone tonight! Why would he want to change the rhetoric? It's the manager's opinion, as well. I find it classy, keeps everyone's feet on the ground. Although I have to admit it would be funny as **** if the players and Ranieri would still mention the 40 points even if we've already gone past it.
enmac Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 I never thought I would see the day Leicester top of the premier league on Xmas day. Every pundit had us down as mid table by end of DecemberEvery pundit had us at the bottom of the table or near to it!Mahrez (2 pen) , Okazaki. I love this team. :xmaslaugh:
shen Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 YESSSSS!!!! What a result - against one of the in-form teams in the league and away from home!!! They weren't though, were they? Granted, in Lukaku, Deulofeu and Barkley they have some of the most in form players right now, but they've not exactly gotten great results lately. Thought Okazaki once again looked so off the pace and out of his depth, right up until he won the penalty. He was a player transformed after that! So happy (and relieved) to see him have a good game and score a goal. As soon as Vardy fed him it seemed to take bloody ages for him to get a shot off. Was already half expecting him to fluff his lines once more (what the hell happened when he ran through and checked inside Stones only to go to ground minutes later?), but he ultimately score the winner with a good finish. The single biggest positive from today's game! Shoutout to King who was superb in defense as well as closing down and keeping possession. Obviously doesn't have Drinky's range of passing which had us hoofing it up from defense instead. Wasyl looked like he's been an ever-present all season. What a performance from him in that context. Cannot believe Poland don't use this man.
shen Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Morgan has stepped up massively this season. Look at the morale too. King and Was not been playing. Just come in and do a top job,no dramas. Stunning. Is it just me who thinks he was slightly at fault for Lukakus goal? Was cought out despite having ample time to get tight to Lukaku there...

timothyeis123 Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Looks like Vardy is okay judging from Fuch's tweet of team photo. Good job team! happy holidays https://twitter.com/FuchsOfficial/status/678265167948435456
Babylon Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Is it just me who thinks he was slightly at fault for Lukakus goal? Was cought out despite having ample time to get tight to Lukaku there...Slightly would be the word, the ball was pin balling about and that's hard to defend against.
-MaTaN- Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Massive win.A lot of teams will drop points in this ground.Massive, i'm so proud of the lads!
st albans fox Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Btw, last three away fixtures = 9 goals
Eddie_Lawless Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 I support Newcastle for my sins, but just wanted to say how much I'm loving that Leicester keep winning and are deservedly top of the table. Hope your boys go all the way!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 It is Christmas and we have only lost one league game... wow
ajthefox Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Just got back, I'm on cloud 9!! Atmosphere was decent for most of the game, buzzing at the very end! Quite a poor performance by our standards. Everton weren't great and I think they've probably been made to look better against teams like Norwich and Sunderland etc but they did create more chances and were better on the ball for large passages of play. Everton will feel a little hard done by, but they always say not playing well and winning is the sign of champions Both looked pens although the second Vardy left a leg dangling and knew what he was doing. Immense performance from the back four, Fuchs was great (DeloWHO??) and Wes (my MOTM) had Lukaku in his back pocket most of the game, he was lucky to score such an easy goal. Vardy and Mahrez relatively quiet today (pens aside) but we still won!! None of that matters too much though, cause we're top of the fooking league at christmas!!!!!!
Guest Col city fan Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 General discussion in the pub. Ranieri and tactics.... Kante..... Equals the main difference between this season and last. Five points clear tonight. Amazing!
