Far from the best we've played this season yet we've just beaten a decent Everton side away from home. They were calamitous at the back.

Fair play to Shinji today, I've not been impressed with him but you can't deny his impact on the game today.

This season is a dream so far. Well done to the City fan that had a fiver on us to be top at xmas

What a result, only negative that Lukaku scored. So happy for Shinji proving the twats who don't rate him wrong, an assist a goal and as always plays his heart out even though he's been out the side. Great signing.

Set up the first pen, scored the third, charged players down, held up the ball and defended as well as any defender. Can't even count how many clearances he made.

 

Magnificent game.

Yeah he must be awful to struggle to get ahead of the players currently top of the table at Christmas.

That's 10 points now out of the run of fixtures where everyone was saying we'd come unstuck and the bubble would burst. Before the start of the season I'll admit I saw this run and cringed at the sight of it, starting with Swansea away and I'll bet I wasn't the only one! Even before this run of fixtures there was a part of me that would have happily taken 6 points from it. Now just Liverpool and Man City to get out of the way!

The question is when are the pundits going to stop saying we haven't got enough strength in depth to win the league? Because that theory has been debunked today.

Mahrez and Vardy again proving how massively they important for us when we counter attack.

 

Have to say, I was massively impressed with Kasper today, came out and claimed when he had to and did well to hold on to that bouncing shot from Barkley late on.

 

Was doing his best to give Everton a chance to get back in the game dishing out free kicks like hot cakes, but overall did well to come in considering he hasn't played in ages.

 

Kanté, a good foot shorter than Barkley but was constantly snapping at his heels and making it hard for him to do too much damage. I love that man so much.
