Everton v Leicester City post match thread 2 - 3

People forget that even when we were struggling to collect points and heading for the bottom of the Premiership last season we were never getting hammered. It was just the little things we were missing or being punished for.

A slight change of system and of emphasis suited the team we had much better. This season we've added several players who have clearly strengthened an already competent team and Ranieri's added the cream by being so tactically astute and intelligent in the way he squeezes still more out of people.

Look at the improvement in Morgan, Albrighton, Vardy. Mahrez and Drinkwater to name the five that most come to mind. It's been a joy to see much like our football.

Today just showed we're as capable of winning as ugly as pretty and as willing to grab a result as to rip teams apart.

The mark of champions? Giving ability in every team,  winning to me is about how much you work on the details and how much you collectively want it. And I wouldn't swap our squad for anyone's.

I agree, the players just needed to realise they were good enough to play in the Premier League, but the biggest thing was the importance of taking our chances. In our Championship winning year, we wasted a lot of chances because we knew we would have more. I suppose our dominance hindered us a bit when we first won promotion, because we didn't have the same amount of chances to score. We have really improved our conversion rate. I haven't seen how it compares, but it must be a huge improvement.

Slightly would be the word, the ball was pin balling about and that's hard to defend against.

I know pinning it on him would be harsh. It was unlucky the ball ever made it out to Lukaku, I just felt it was avoidable and didn't expect to see Morgan further foward than Lukaku.

Both their goals came from Wasilewski's/Simpson's post which probably absolves Morgan of any blame.

We are such a team - the fans, the players, the manager, the backroom staff, the chairmen... everyone. Wasyl coming on and playing like he'd started every game. JV setting up Shinji - it's wonderful. My faith in football has been fully restored.

I support Newcastle for my sins, but just wanted to say how much I'm loving that Leicester keep winning and are deservedly top of the table.  Hope your boys go all the way!

cheers! Let's hope so!!!

Lukaku's goal was 100% Kings fault! :xmasdry: Clearing it off the line like he did! Only kidding of course, it was good stuff from King, but he was unlucky it fell to Lukaku.

Every pundit had us at the bottom of the table or near to it!

Sorry I meant going into December. Going from start of the year no doubt they would of had us as the position Villa are in

Claudios Force One....

What the hells going on out there.....??

Fly, dont look, dont ask , just fly,we got something, I aint saying what it is, but trust me, just trust me..... .

Now we can fly,

we Can touch the sky,

we think about it every night and day

put Mahrez n Albrighton on the wings and fly away,

we believe that Vardy will score,

I believe we can fly,

I believe we can fly.......

If we can see it, we can be it

If we just believe it, theres nothing to it

If we just spread our wings,

I believe we can fly,

we can reach the sky,

yes we can fly.....

In all this elation had anyone stopped and thought of who is really responsible for this insanity?

Take a bow Hopper, Smith and Pearson Jnr. Cheers for getting your bum hole licked which resulted in Claudio being appointed.
