Standard Foxestalk knee jerk because a player has a couple of poor games. Everyone loves Shinji now and was calling him not good enough a week or two ago. Behave yourselves. Top post. I was really critical after the Bournemouth game but I still voted to keep him. Anything can happen injury wise later in the season and we need people fit and ready to come in.

He has been playing in the prem for a long time and I think he is a great player and fits into our setup nicely. He spent a lot of his latter stages at Swansea barely playing and he got injured from the off here and has played sparingly so I'm not surprised he's had a few stinkers. Will come good soon imo and even if he doesn't the heroic Villa goal means he will always remain in high regard from me.

I still think he is a good winger and having played in the Premier League for a while that talent is still there. Just my opinion but I feel he is another decent option to play on the wings if we need him to.

Oh no ... if you count everything it's been more than that and from a very limited number of appearances too which is hardly a vote of confidence from anyone. Two decent contributions early on, a barely average game against Spurs, and the other little cameos have been poor. He's not even a great bet fitness wise - having had a longish break after his injury against Villa and also been injured at Swansea, so someone mentioned. with Gray making his mark, Schlupp (presumably) coming back, Albrighton and Mahrez how will he get a game?

I don't often disagree with you, but I do here. Firstly, a 'tidy' player wouldn't needlessly flick the ball (and fail) or try the hard pass at every opportunity, especially when he lacks sharpness. Secondly, he's predictable in the way that he plays which is best exemplified by the amount of times he's lost the ball to his direct opponent. Thirdly, his attitude when losing the ball stinks. All our other first-teamers seem more than willing to chase down and close down spaces. He sits on his arse waving his arms when he's only ran straight into the defender. It puts the team under pressure. Fourthly, when was the last time he actually performed for us? The last meaningful contribution, and this was rather minor in the circumstances, was winning the corner that we equalised from on Saturday. I really liked Dyer at Swansea, particularly when he was revitalised along with Routledge under Laudrup. He has a lot to offer, but it doesn't look like he'll do it here for whatever reason. We don't have a lot to lose by keeping him here as cover, but he's not shown anywhere near enough to be more than backup, and on the latest evidence, I'm not convinced he can do a job as that either.

Gray has played 60minutes and people think we can now send back our only other fit back up winger? mental. Jeff could be out for a month or so yet for all we know. People banging on we need to add more players and then saying we need to send an experienced winger back? This place sometimes.... With most of the players being centre backs or centre forwards I don't think getting another winger is what CR is thinking about.

If we bring in a new winger (on top of Gray) then I'd say it's probably getting a bit over crowded there and we may as well send Dyer back. As is? Why lose an asset that probably isn't costing us much?

We've got 4 centre mid fielders at the moment so presumably that means we don't need Matty James so we might as well ship him out? I'm not saying sign him permanently, but as long as he's OK with not playing much we might as well keep him. It's not like we have to worry about wages any more.

My beak is not clear, my face only the cat likes it, and summer gnats.What do we do, IF:- he has a great run in/scores to get us to wembley/ Scores or brings out 3 performances that secure top 4, or just has some top games. I ask all of you a simple question, we have our best season, since PL historics began...why oh why have posters dissed off so many of our players individually.When we have a group of players who would not be here this seasons, if many of these same posters had, had there way pre march 2015. These players, were not going to cut it in the PL according to these fast-draws on the negative-posters. No I wont be bothered, to list the individual players, because it was every single one of them, that achieved so far 2nd in the PL.Including our 2 so called stars.Some even crying out for the Huth signing, then tell us all hes not good enough..

My Nads Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 I don't see the point in this thread unless it's to gauge opinion. We have him until the end of the season, so nothing has changed. We have an agreement in place, so unless Swansea want him back and are willing to pay compensation or we want to send him back (no evidence of either) he's our player until the loan runs out. I wont get as much game time now, but one or two injuries would change that very quickly, so I am happy for him to stay until the summer.

Our priority needs is for at least one striker and perhaps a fast, attack-capable right-back in the style of Patrice Evra.

I thought after Villa he offered us something different, but he doesn't and I'd much prefer Schlupp in as he does offer something different and is much stronger. Also, Gray has more hunger and promise.
