Rasmic123 Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 yeah tbf, he has had two poor games and made decent contributions when coming on vs villa and soton. but you also get the feeling he's more shit than good and i would be tempted to give dodoo or lawrence a go ahead of him, obviously with gray, schlupp, mahrez and mark all ahead of him in the pecking order
lgfualol Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Keep. Everyone loved him and wanted to sign him after he helped us win against Villa and a point at Saints. Couple poor games and he's now a liability. Sure if we sign a class winger we can think about returning him but I doubt we will. Carillo wont come.
Buce Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 I honestly don't see what he offers the side. Send him back.
sylofox Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Rather pointless thread if you check the rules I think you will find you can't terminate a prem loan.
ithuriel Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Keep until the end of the season and then thank him for his efforts and wish him the best of luck elsewhere.
Jimmy Posted 10 January 2016 Author Posted 10 January 2016 Rather pointless thread if you check the rules I think you will find you can't terminate a prem loan. well you can because Liverpool have, you can ONLY do it in January though
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 This is where we need to spend a bit more money. Dyer is ok. But just ok We can and should spend some money to get better. Gray is young, so will drift in and out. Let's go out, make a statement and sign Carillo.
Thracian Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Today was a massive improvement on his last performances - anything positive would be - and there's no way he's to blame for what i consider to be the idiocy of today's penalty decision. But I just don't see him as consistently good enough. Even with an acceptable contribution today i'd put him at the bottom end of our player ratings and I just don't see him as having the impact necessary for where we're aiming. Gray looked a bit optimistic at times but positively so and he was a danger of some kind almost whenever he got the ball with his dead ball kicks, his willingness to shoot, his pace and willingness to run at people. Indeed he tried to be everything I've spoken about as being needed from a winger.
ramadaone Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 He was shite on Sat Why ? Because he was the opposite side to the coaches He was shite first half today Why ? Because he was the opposite side to the coaches He was much better second half today ( not difficult I know ) Why ? Because the coaches were telling where and when to run Just an observation

Gerard Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 We got him on a season long loan so we can't send him back. I'd be fuming if we paid money for him in the summer though. Mahrez, Albrighton and Schlupp are better than him and Gray should be ahead of him as not to stifle his development. Also if we sign Carrillo he moves into 6th in the pecking order. It's not a step in the right direction to sign a 28 year old who will be 5th or 6th choice for wide midfield. On another note did anyone know he was Kieron Dyer's brother? I've just found out a minute a go when I checked his age on wiki.

Send him back? Come on people. its more do we need to carry 5 senior wingers, when we have people like Dodoo that can fill in for an injury
Jakemoore Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 I wouldn't send him back now but I haven't been impressed enough to want to sign him come July.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 I wouldn't send him back now but I haven't been impressed enough to want to sign him come July.ThisAlthough I hope he proves me wrong between now and the end of the season
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 I think Dyer was probably one of the worse players i've seen in a city shirt this season, lost every tackle he went for, distribution was poor and he spent too much time with his hands on his hips ball watching, i used to rate him but on the evidence of his last two games i'm not sure now.This. It should go without saying this has nothing to do with the scandalous penalty Spurs were awarded. However, two years ago at Swansea he was a very good player. He came here due to "personal problems". It looks to me like there are still issues there. He's clearly not right for whatever reason. He was very poor again today, following a diabolical effort last week.
An Away Move Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Why have we got Dyer in? Surely to go at people and make things happen. I thought he seemed a little reluctant to fully attack with all that he is capable of. I'm wondering why. If he's not going to attack with full commitment what's the point of him? Too lightweight for more general play?
Guest Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 He's not impressed me recently at all but I see no point in weakening our squad at this stage. He has a minor role to play if we get injuries or as an impact sub from time to time.
The Doctor Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 well you can because Liverpool have, you can ONLY do it in January though Liverpool recalled Illori, that's not quite the same thing as the loaning club sending a player back.
Jimmy Posted 11 January 2016 Author Posted 11 January 2016 Liverpool recalled Illori, that's not quite the same thing as the loaning club sending a player back. It works both ways, it's been done in previous years too
danfox76 Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 Think he'd stand a better chance getting in Swansea's starting 11 than he would ours this would be nice.. everytime he gets the ball he ends up on his arse.. i vote send him back he's to lightweight
