Our priority needs is for at least one striker and perhaps a fast, attack-capable right-back in the style of Patrice Evra. In which case I'd keep Dyer regardless for the duration of his loan. Not really sure why that's baffling you, to be honest. I'm not saying sign him up for twenty million at all costs, I'm just saying while he's here he might as well see out the season. He's not caused any harm so far in fact he's put his body on the line to secure us at least three points.
Manwell Pablo Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 We have gray Mahrez albrighton and when fit more than likely schlupp ahead of him but can't see the value in terminating loan, it's only very recently he's not played well in his fleeting appearances before x mans he was fine. Will be fine to continue the role he is currently playing.

People slated RDL but Dyer left him very exposed and often 2 on 1.

I think he can be a valuable asset with his speed and skill and I'd definitely keep him. He had an off-day during the FA Cup game at Spurs and was less effective than required. But I've seen enough positive actions of him to want him to stay.

I've wondered myself about Dyer's wellbeing since his blow to the head because there seems to be a marked difference in his football then compared with now. But the club has qualified medics and I'm a layman so I'm simply saying it was something that crossed my mind. But you having mentioned it, I'd have thought you might be more concerned to let him get over any problem than worrying about football for the time being. Cos that's how I'd think, irrespective of whether he remains an footballing asset or not.

It may be no more than a misguided impression, but his having put his body on the line remains a concerns to me, as mentioned in reply to MC Prussian.

I can only speak for myself but it would take more than one game to convince me. As always though, if he plays I wish him well.

Babylon Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 He's been poor for a couple of games... any player can look poor for a few, even Mahrez has probably been pretty guff in his last two. Too early to right him off, but there are certainly things he needs to work on. Like just not giving up, which I've seen him do on more than once when someone gets past him, things like that aren't form.

Jakemoore Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 He's not good enough and Swansea probably knew that. We were preparing for bottom of the league and it's clear he isn't good enough for the top. Swansea can have him back tomorrow where I am concerned.
