Vindaloo FOX Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 great deal for them , feel we may have missed out here .
Matt Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 They're welcome to him. Not sure what the fascination is about him. I'm not saying he's awful, but he's nothing special, i'd want to be looking at better - who that is I don't know.
FrankieADZ Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 brilliant deal i think(as long as he stays fit that is)
Guest kristianity77 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 We have missed out. If it was us that had just signed him for 4 million we would all be saying its a low risk excellent signing. 4 million is chump change for a guy who could quite feasibly hit a dozen goals each season in the prem.
Fox92 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Just posted about it in the PL thread. We've missed out, especially at £4mill. Great bargain.
CharlieCharles Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 They're welcome to him. Not sure what the fascination is about him. I'm not saying he's awful, but he's nothing special, i'd want to be looking at better - who that is I don't know. 19 goals in a relegated team is nothing special?
Drew Peacock Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 They're welcome to him. Not sure what the fascination is about him. I'm not saying he's awful, but he's nothing special, i'd want to be looking at better - who that is I don't know. He'd get more goals than Ulloa and Okazaki put together. Things are going great at the moment, but a proven goal scorer would have been a great addition. Kramaric doesn't get a look in for whatever reason, and really think we've missed out. Weren't we rumoured to have put a bid in the summer for him at around £10 million?
Dan Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 He's a good forward but I'm not convinced he's the answer for our team. Good price as well for Southampton. QPR yet again being shown up for the totally inept amateurs in the transfer window that they are.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Top signing for Southampton. Proven goalscorer at this level. Good work from the Saints.
Riyad_Suarez Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 That's an absolute bargain! Would've happily seen him come here for £4m, more than adds something to the squad especially if kramaric leaves.
AKCJ Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Meh. Don't see the fuss. He's injured every other week and hasn't exactly lit up the Championship this season. Benik Afobe has been far more impressive and look at how we all laughed at Bournemouth. He's a good forward but I'm not convinced he's the answer for our team. Good price as well for Southampton. QPR yet again being shown up for the totally inept amateurs in the transfer window that they are. Incredible that you fail to make a profit on someone who has scored 19 PL goals Absolute shambles of a Football Club.
Samilktray Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Really don't get the fuss over him. Not at all bothered we didn't sign him.
sdb Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Wow some people here are going to spiral into depression. Must say at that price i'd have taken him and am surprised we've not gone in for him.
Izzy Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 £4m is an absolute steal! I'm liking the new Avatar mate. A decent replacement it must be said. Good work
The Doctor Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Excellent, people on here can stop saying we need to buy him now.
ajthefox Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Absolute steal for £4 million. People saying they don't see the fuss, well to put it into perspective, we paid double for Kram and he hasn't even had a sniff. Would have been a good signing for us imo.
bobtickle Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/charlie-austin-rejected-leicester-offer-for-firstteam-place-at-southampton-a3158931.html Chose Southampton over leicester apparently
Tuna Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 No quotes from Austin, his agent or anyone from Leicester so I'll take that with a pinch of salt.
