Pegosteve Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 I can see 3 points out of the next 3, but then 24 from the last 12. Have us finishing on 72!
Fox42 Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 The thing is... It's the other way round to the first half of the season where we played against the little fellas first before tackling the Giants and we went into those games stronger mentally as well as physically. I'm hoping that it won't destroy our confidence and our spirit if we come away with 0 points after those three games and the domino effect takes place. Make no mistake these three fixtures are pivotal, come away with three draws and I'm buzzing like a frisky bumblebee.
Jakemoore Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 One thing we must do is not change our style. Against city back in December, we were very compact and strong defensively. We didn't go all out on the attack. Ironically enough we should have scored and then would have won 1-0. However, we need to take the game to these sides. We will almost definitely concede goals but we may score more also.
weller54 Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 We owe The Scouser's one! Their defence was laughable against Norwich!.. OK they scored 5 but 3 of those were gifts! We'll beat them.. No worries!
Nalis Posted 24 January 2016 Author Posted 24 January 2016 Took a further look at the fixtures (I have stuff to do that I dont want do and I'm procrastinating) and our games v Newcastle and Swansea are on FA Cup 6th Round/Semi Final weekends respectively however as they are both out of the cup, we wont have to worry about much fixture movement, with the exception of the usual Sky/BT changes to Sun/Mon/ Sat morning /evening of course...
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 I think we might get more than three out of them Col, oh and nice bet in the tipping thread! I thought it was a goodun yesterday when you posted it. Cheers Nick, Unfortunately, I didn't put my money where my mouth was and put real money on it. Shame, I thought it was kinda nailed on too.
nnfox Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 We will definitely lose to Arsenal. If we play our attacking game, we SHOULD beat Liverpool and we COULD beat Man City. The worse case scenario is that we lose all 3. Regardless whatever happens we will still be in the top 4 with 12 to go. At the end of these 3 games we will know if we are fighting for the title or trying to finish top 4.
TJB-fox Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 1-1 Liverpool, lose 2-0 at man city and lose 2-1 at Arsenal
WesMorganGod Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 I would be happy if we got 3 points from those 3 games. its fine if we do.. because sure we would drop off a little.. but all the next games are winnable and we can come back. the others have to play eachother too.
john ridley Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Considering the first group of fixtures we only got2 pts and we're up already on that a couple of narrow defeats isn't the end of the world .
promised land Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Imagine of we won all 3 "You may say I'm a dreamer"
Gerard Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 We will definitely lose to Arsenal. If we play our attacking game, we SHOULD beat Liverpool and we COULD beat Man City. I'd take 4pts now if offered, happy to beat Liverpool and draw and lose our next two away games. 5pts or more and i would really begin to believe.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 The thing about our season is that it's not outlandish to suggest we could, if things go our way, get 9 points, just as it's not beyond the realms of probability we could get 0 points. Enjoy the ride. Normally I'd agree but the fact that we're this far in with 2 defeats all season, I really wouldn't have us down as losing all three I'm going for: Leicester 2 - 2 Liverpool Man City 2 - 3 Leicester Arsenal 1 - 1 Leicester 5 points, more importantly stopping Arsenal and Man City getting 3 points against us. The annoying thing is that we will batter Liverpool but as is always the case, they'll have luck on their side
Brenfox Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 It would be brilliant if we won all 3. It's unlikely but that would really put us in the driving seat. Some pundits might even consider us contenders.
MaxLERenard Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Probably the most difficult run of the season left to go, what's your predictions? I'd go: Liverpool (H) 2-1 W Man City (A) 2-0 L Arsenal (A) 0-0 D Looking at the fixtures we have left, it seems like we can group the fixtures in the 3 groups. The above, and the below two groups (with the group of nine all winnable). Norwich City (H) West Brom (H) Watford (A) Newcastle (H) Crystal Palace (A) Southampton (H) Sunderland (A) West Ham (H) Swansea City (H) Man Utd (A) Everton (H) Chelsea (A) We only need to match the results from the first half of the season. So anything more than 1 point will make us ahead of target.
FireFox Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 We will win all three. Liverpool and Man City still have their problems, and then the players will have all the confidence in the world and be up for the big game.
Foxxed Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Just hope our goal difference isn't too bad. We're currently one above Arsenal but six below Man City and Spurs.
Fennec-Fox Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Imagine of we won all 3Imagine we lose all 3 #Equilibrium
demon_dog Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 4 pts for me. Win over Pool Draw City Lose Arsenal
Webbo Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 We're much tighter at the back since we played arsenal at home, I can see us getting something from them. Liverpool are nothing special and it depends which Man City turn up. Could be anything from 3 to 9.
ktfox59 Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 I have us down for draw loss loss. Having said that, I have us down for at least 16 points from 15 games taking us to 63, enough to ensure euro football next season. My thinking is from 7th and below teams have to get a 2point a game return to overhaul us. Something only leicester have done this season
