Jakemoore Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Did you ever think you would see the day that we turned down loic Remy on loan because we genuinely think that we can do better....
FrankieADZ Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 wouldnt be surprised if he went back to Newcastle tbh,
thybluefox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 You can't write him off based on Sunday's game. Anyone we buy, especially if it's a player from Europe, will need games to adjust and settle. We've all seen over the past few years what he's capable of - and surely coming into a team were the majority of players are performing at their peak is going to get more out of him than playing in that current Chelsea side. There may well be better options out there, long term especially, but if it's a case of him or no one then it would be ludicrous to turn him down.
The Unknown Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Better options than Remy out there! No need to get him just because he's available. We've been linked with plenty of other strikers that could do just as good a job if not better than Remy. Don't get me wrong he's a class act but he's not match fit/sharp and would probably take him till end of the season to get to that position.

There are, but they cost $$$$$$ this would be relatively safe loan. The guy has class, he's just wasting away on the Chelsea bench. I have no doubt that he would fit into our systems well and bag goals. Would be more than happy for this to happen.

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I'd so like him here. He just looks like he needs a run of games in a side, and he will score goals. I get the impression he's pacey as well so he would suit us perfectly. It does depend if he'd get that run of games in our side though, as Okazaki is playing well.
Lloydwasmylife Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 If it's a goalscoring record you want we might as well sign Shearer! Let's forget his record and judge the last 24 hours. a) He's so good, already struggling Chelsea want to loan him out. b) He looked rusty against Arsenal - Finnegan's word and I can't better it. c) That could have been because he was rusty and needs time to sharpen himself up. We want a striker now. d) Or maybe he just wasn't focused?. Wrong attitude. I suppose he might have been out of the side or recovering from injury (I really don't know) but either way, if he's below par and not good enough for Chelsea, he's hardly likely to be good enough for what we need. Convince me people, by all means, but having watched that dismal game yesterday - including Remy's contribution, I'm underwhelmed. Points b, c and d can all be solved by minutes on the pitch and claudios sunny disposition. As for point a.. Chelsea also loaned out and/or sold; Lukaku, De Bruyne, Schurrle, Cech, Anelka, Drogba.. the list goes on.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Looking at the clubs he's been at since he came to England, QPR, Newcastle and Chelsea. The first two have a terrible history of signing players who literally don't give a shit, and Chelsea's record on that isn't much better. Doesn't exactly strike me as someone who would die for the cause a la Vardy or Kante.

Can't argue with what your saying as a cheap option to see where we finish in the league then buy in the summer
Max Power Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Only see the point on loan as backup for Vardy. Don't really see how they'd work together
FoxFossil Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Wasn't Lukaku a fringe player at Chelsea, loaned out 'cos he wasn't good enough to get into their team? So on the logic expressed above, we'd not have taken him. Get him in - NOW please Claudio. I'll need to up my medication if this carries on for much longer.

One key part of that article suggests not a lot of work / knowledge has gone into it... at the very end it states "Leicester are happy with their striking options". Well, it's not exactly a secret that we are clearly looking for an addition in this area, so how much trust do you put in this piece? We may not be interested now, but that doesn't mean we won't be in 48 hours time?
FoxFossil Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 There's no place for your logic here, where do you think you are?! So no place for Logic Remi then?

ktfox59 Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I'm confused by the minute here regarding us and Remy. Only a few days ago it was all over SSN that we had no interest in signing the player on loan. Now we have interest again?? Quite obviously just pure speculation.
ktfox59 Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 And why the negativity by some regarding him? Looked the only real danger to us when he came on at the king power
FoxFossil Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I think you mean Gerrimminn Sorry . New to this. Gerrimmin.
