Sky total *****

I hate Sunday games and I hate early kick off's so this has really pissed me off and I don't even have to miss out on going to any games so I can't imagine how pissed off some other people are.

This is unacceptable and even worse than the moving the Arsenal game at 23 days notice. This just feels like we're being fvcked over.

Most of us are not asking for a lot, we know we've done a deal with the devil, we know that in our current situation all of our games are going to be moved but they could show us a little consideration instead of moving every single game in April to a Sunday (and probably our May games, too).

Fvck Sky.

lol no it's not.

At the very least Sky should offer STHs who now can't attend the game a free one day pass to Sky Sports on NowTV so that they can watch the game on their phone, etc.

Whilst I'll be able to attend all of the rearranged games I don't particularly like the time slot. I'd be even more hacked off if I'd made a financial commitment to watch the games, was now unable to go and now out of pocket just to accommodate neutral fans who don't have any real interest in the club who have paid circa £2 for a bit of entertainment on a Sunday afternoon.

I get that that's the nature of both Sky TV and the club being successful but that shouldn't mean that someone who has paid a substantial amount of money to go and watch a live game of football should be forced to pay the company responsible for them missing the game in the first place simply to enable themselves to watch the game.

Sky must be thinking we are Champions elect. If you look at the BT schedule, they have Arsenal, Spurs and Man City all on, I'm guessing Sky are monopolising us!

Posted

Are we not on BT all? Not that I'm complaining as I do hate there early kick off time

not for the April games. it's only Sky that we're on in April.

Not sure what the plan is for the final day of the season - presume Sky have first pick of a game.

No, not at all. I don't like the early Saturday kick offs either but it would seem the lads do- Man City for example

I think there's a difference between defending Sky and now being able to make a game on Sunday/not being affected by the kick-off change.

There is a difference but some of the posts, yet again, are ludicrous.

"We're in a title fight don't act naive" - well yeah I expected a few of our games to be televised - Manchester United for example - but Sunderland, Swansea and Southampton!? It's a joke and nobody can defend it. How many Swansea fans are going to travel on a Sunday? 500? You see my point... And from my point of view, I wanted to get the train up to Manchester for our game but can't do that now because there's no trains on that Sunday. There's no consideration for fans.

Yes it is.

They moved the Arsenal game at very short notice. It was a shitty move but it probably affected less than half the people their that day since not everyone goes by train or usually works on a Sunday (which were the two main issues).

This is going to affect a huge number of City fans over a prolonged period and the fact that there isn't even one Saturday game is a real kick in the teeth.

So many seem to be missing the main point, yes we all understand games are likely to be moved but moving them all to the same day and mostly the same time slot will adversely affect the same group of people.

Had they put some in their Saturday and Monday slots at least the pain of missing the games would be spread around.

It just demonstrates quite clearly that they don't care one iota about those that go to the games and in many instances have already paid to go.

well I don't think it's worse because:

Plans had already been made in terms of ticket purchases before the game got changed.

Much less notice had been given for the Arsenal game (23 days). Compared to over a whole month for plans to be amended for these April games.

I'd have thought a lot of fans for the Arsenal game went by train? And you're right, not everyone usually works on a Sunday so how would it be worse this time around than the Arsenal game?

I am so glad that we are now getting the coverage we deserve. Some people on this thread? If you want to be the best compete with the best you must expect changes for tv scheduling. We need to strenghen if we are expecting European football next season the extra revenue will come in handy. Plus it now stops me saying at long last, "oh look, just for a change Man U are on the telly"

Never ever would have believed people will now be saying, " just for a change Leicester are on the telly again"

It's bloody great, long may it continue bring it on.

On se internetz.

don't really like watching games where I know who scored 2 mins before I'm watching it on a stream. Always get notifications telling me plus I prefer HD

Because, as has been touched upon in this thread, some people are going to find it difficult to get permission to have four/five Sundays in a row off work or are going to have to cancel other plans/commitments they've made if they happen to fall on a Sunday.

But whatever, I don't want to argue personal circumstances since we obviously both agree that on both occasions, Sky have taken the absolute piss.

Hey if all the games are on sky where I can watch them live? Good.

Ok pal don't worry about us that go to these games.

feel so bad for you, you get to go to games that non season ticket holders can't because there are no tickets available...my heart bleeds it really does

Fact is would you rather be where we were last year with games always on a Saturday or contending for a title?

If we are to stay a title contender I would get used to it...it's how things work at the top

Is it frustrating for people who have season tickets? Sure but it's what always happens

First option is go to the game, it's pretty HD in real life. Second is probably go to any bar or friends house showing the game. Third would be to get a subscription to a channel showing the game. The last option, and you will hate this, turn your notifications off and deal with it not being HD.

This,Why do people keep saying the same thing .We know sky will move a lot of games but the fact that nearly all are Sunday and most are 1:30 which is not peak viewing for football.

Good. I have ditched Stringer since I discovered streaming. I do miss his enthusiasm when we score though.

Looks like I will be in the pub the next few Sundays.
