But 1 and 2 seemed to have a Mahrez uniqueness, with a small shade of Messi Not saying you can compare the 2 players, but only because Messi gets into the game more than anyone who has ever played in the history of football
Donut Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Probably the Chelsea goal was the most "Messiesque" in my opinion because it involved cutting in from the right on his left foot and beating a man before shooting to the opposite post. Im not sure Messi would have popped up in the box on a loose ball like Watford. The Man City goal was a Ronaldo goal for me. All personal opinion

We really are very lucky to have a player of such quality. I do get frustrated with moments such as the overhead kick against WBA, but with a player like Mahrez you put up with that for those magical match winning moments we will all remember for yeara

filbertway Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 The Man City goal seemed most like Messi to me. Quick thinking and a great touch to get him past Otamendi and then he's placed the ball in the corner before the keeper even had time to realise he was going to shoot. Absolutely clinical.

Amin Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 I think Mahrez has his own unique way of playing that is hard to compare to others. The way he runs, twists, turns and pulls off skill moves are quite different to the way Messi plays. If I had to compare him to a current player, I would probably liken him to Neymar rather than Messi.
