I still wouldn't get a ticket then.

Might be a tad more, I'm not sure what the CL max capacity of Camp Nou is at the moment with them planning upgrades, have they started altering the ground yet?

Might be 5k.

Not sure why every pundit jumps to defend Stones when the reality is he's a poor defender who is only consistent in making costly mistakes.

Theres plenty more young English defenders who I rate higher than him.

Not young, but Danny Simpson is a better DEFENDER than John Stones

But the point is that we're also fast and strong and we'll be right up in their faces in their own half from the first whistle. Nobody else in this competition plays quite like we did against Sevilla, against possibly Atletico, and that's a strength in and of itself.

I don't think Buffon was being patronising saying they don't want us, I think he meant it. Not because he thinks we're the best team left in but because we're horrible to play against when we're confident.

We're nasty, niggly and aggressive but we're not big, thick and slow with it. We're hectic, ferocious and fast.

That's a lot for a young, inexperienced squad to cope with.

Man City are the perfect team for this Monaco team to play, we'd be the antithesis of that.

No way we'd be favourites but no way they're harder for us to beat than the Spanish three or Bayern either.

Epitomised by Vardy. I would hate him if he didn't play for us.

We are the only English side in this competition that has shown any spirit. Look at Man City - they were timid and weak.

Capacity is 100,000. We'd receive 5000 as a minimum, although I can't see them giving us any more than that.

I don't buy the argument that this team is inexperienced, young perhaps but i don't think that will have any bearing on their mindset in tough environments. I don't care how niggly an aggresive we are, we don't have the personel to deal with their players when they overload us. They are just too physically gifted and sharp. Almost every single of of their offensive players has the potential to play for Real, Bayern, or Barca in the future.

Danny would make a great RCB in a 3ATB formation.

In America within certain communities we use the term real niggas lol, Monaco have too many of those. Physically and Mentally strong individuals, i don't want any parts of that team. I would take Monaco over Real any day of the week. As in Monaco would defeat Real.

Without wanting to split hairs, it's 99,000.

Quote

In 1982 the stadium’s capacity was increased by 22,150 with the addition of the third tier of seating, giving Camp Nou room for some 115,000 fans. The stadium played host that year to the opening ceremony and first game of the World Cup. Two years later in 1984 the Club Museum was added to the stadium.

In 1994, more work was carried out as the pitch was lowered by 2.5 metres to allow the lower seating area to be expanded, the conversion of standing areas behind the goals into seated areas and the removal of the moat from around the pitch.

Before the century was out the standing areas were turned into seating thus reducing the stadium’s capacity to its present day figure of 99,000.

For a size and stature of club such as Man City, I'm quite surprised at the limited attacking options they have on their bench.

What happened to Iheanacho?

Monaco would be a great draw. We could call it the Ranieri Cup. He got them promoted, then finished 2nd, and then sacked that summer before he could mange them in the Champions League.

with all due respect, this is an illusion. They seem like one to your laymen.

All their attacking options are already on the pitch. Aguero, Silva, KdB, Sterling, Sane. It is why they don't have any defenders and are down 2 goals.

all these monaco players will be on the radar of big clubs. but their striker germain is very underrated, playing the okazaki role for monaco. only one year left on his contract, we should try sign him. 13 goals & 4 assists in all competitions as a support striker.

I think you probably over estimate them tbh.

They're fantastic don't get me wrong but Man City are woeful defensively and have zero press in their midfield.

Much different story when you're up against Varane, Ramos, Marcelo and Carvajal with Casemiro holding, Kroos running the show and "BBC" putting the pressure on Monaco's extremely average defence.

I want Monaco too. i played the Monaco Open during my squash playing youth, visited the place on many occasions, and just love the atmosphere there. If I could retire anywhere in the world it would be to the hills overlooking Monaco. Such happy memories not only of Monoco but the French Riviera generally.

If we get Monaco I am personally going to find the bloke making noises on the tannoy and shove the microphone up his arse.

Varane is France's John Stones. I have been watching Real week in week out for the last 15 years. Their front 3 don't work hard enough. Real is Real but Monaco's upside this year isa higher than Real's especially with Bale being in and out of the squad and Benzema as unreliable as ever. Perhaps i do overestimate them, only time will tell, they still are not in the quarters so.
