Real?

Bit gutted that we would have had Real Madrid next :(

Having said that, at least we went out with dignity earning everyone's respect. Might not have been the case next round. And with some of the refereeing decisions Real get, it could have left us quite bitter indeed.

Anyhow, we'll be back!

Looks like Leicester City didn't do bad for England's co-efficient in Europe after all, I wonder what we're coming for you Tottenham did.  lol

No English teams even in the top 8 now, will that mean people demean Chelsea's title win in a 'weak' Premier League this season?

atletico will love that the away leg is first as well.

Want Juve to go through to the final and beat whoever they meet.

That is an outrageously good goal from Juve.

Loved watching the fat man zoom off to the Juve fans as well. He shifts for a big fella but Higua doesn't look graceful doing it. lol

Imagine Juve winning the thing without conceding any goals after the group stage (having played Porto, Barca, Monaco and real)

Not impossible given how composed and professional their back line looked today, against a very dynamic side.  Those late set pieces were Monaco's only real sniffs.

We'd have gotten absolutely bummed if we'd drawn Juventus.

Of the last 8 only Monaco and Dortmund I would have fancied Leicester to get past.

Lot of teams seem to get to 2 finals in 3 seasons  at least these days. Experience counts for a lot.

I said that at the time of the draw and someone just wasn't having it that I said they'd probably be the worst team for us to get. They're so well balanced

They, like Atletico, were probably the two teams who were both better than us and would take us completely seriously.

Real and Barca undoubtedly have more quality but I felt confident we could hit them in the break, Juve/Atletico no chance.

Juve/Atletico were talking us up after we beat Sevilla.

Was a lot different compared to after the away game in Sevilla and their manager.  Juve/Atetico were a lot more tuned in to us.

Us beating Juve would have been a serious embarrasment for them had we met. That would have been up there with Italy losing to North Korea in 1966.

We'd have put up a display against most sides due to pride alone but we wouldnt have been good enough to get past Real, Barca, Bayern.

Monaco just didn't turn up tonight. Shame really, worked so hard to get to the semi final and basically all 11 players have an off day. Monaco should have scored two maybe early on, but fell to a great first goal.

Juve were brilliant once they were in the lead, but were initially dodgy at the back. They are nothing special with no great players, they all just work hard and do what they can do. Very, very well organised, which obviously is key.

Hope they go on to win it, the big danger is that CR is a big stage player, Real must be favourites, although with the final in Cardiff, not a very glamorous or inspiring venue, Juve may come through. Hope so for my mate at Timo's.
