st albans fox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 I hear that the head of the FA panel is a Spurs fan! gazza would be a result!
Larry_LCFC Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 The panel should be Lineker, Alan Young and Stringer. I'm sure they'd be impartial.
mancfox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 I heard it's Alan Sugar, Gary Mabbutt, Ledley King and Darren Anderton.
urban.spaceman Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 I heard it's Alan Sugar, Gary Mabbutt, Ledley King and Darren Anderton. Anderson's injured unfortunately so will be replaced by Harry Redknapp for tax reasons.

Matt Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Well that's a turn for the books from Roy isn't it, well done for laying your cards on the table, he's gone up ever so marginally in my estimations. I still think he's a shit manager who picks players on names and stature but thats a whole different discussion, not for this thread. He's stuck up for Vardy, made his opinion public and I agree with him on something, that has shocked me. Will we know/will it be made public tonight whether the club have appealed or not?

Depends what Spurs say when they are asked if it's ok to make it public
Matt Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Club not appealing. Source? Next question, When will we know what action the FA will be taking? Tomorrow or a few days? Obviously if the club do appeal (Which they're not according to you) the process will take longer because there would be a hearing and then they have to decide what action to take after the hearing.
The Fox and The Crow Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 It states on the Mail website "There is remit is the FA's rules to extend a ban if an appeal is deemed to have 'no grounds" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3551796/Jamie-Vardy-Leicester-unsure-appeal-against-FA-charge-improper-conduct-amid-risk-additional-ban.html If true, surely they appeal?
CosbehFox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Club decided they weren't appealing as early as Monday night
los dedos Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Club not appealing.Top of league,Charming manager, play in a lovely shade of blue.Whats not to like.

The opposite. The club doesn't have grounds to appeal. Vardy called the ref a "****ing ****". As clear as day. What exactly would we be appealing against? This is the right choice. Hope for leniency and a fine rather than a ban. Or if they do ban him, as seems likely, settle for one game rather than risking an extension to the ban.
bluesbrothers Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 The panel should be Lineker, Alan Young and Stringer. I'm sure they'd be impartial. Stringer would rule against Vardy just to stir up controversy, the total willy puller.
Focks Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 What annoys me the most is you see players telling the ref to **** off every match when he blows up for a foul that they disagree with it. Not sure why all these new precedents are being set against us suddenly. What about this then.. Dundee Utd manager given a suspended ban for shouting at supporters... Possiblity of getting off with just one game?? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36105495?intlink_from_url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/35720536&link_location=live-reporting-story (soz if already posted, just hopped on the end of the discussion)
ClaphamFox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Club not appealing. Just checking - has this actually been confirmed anywhere?

Depends, whilst you may not dispute the charge you can still ask for a personal hearing to plead your case. Could be another week if that's the case.
dannythefox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 It's from someone inside the club and I'm not ITK before anyone has a go at me. I just know someone who's very good friends with someone. Vardy has until 18:00 tonight to appeal but he's not going to due to the video evidence.
Matt Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Depends, whilst you may not dispute the charge you can still ask for a personal hearing to plead your case. Could be another week if that's the case. Catch 22 then really. Like you say and I think we all agree you cannot really appeal the charge, he clearly said what he said, however it'd be nice to explain his/our anger and also ask questions of that cunting referee to the FA as to why this whole scenario occured, but at the same time we need to get this situation sorted, quick, we need him back asap, so do you not appeal/request plead your case and hope they take leniency or do you appeal/request to plead your case and have it hanging on for another week or so. I doubt pleading your case to the FA would change their minds either way they're so bloody minded and 'must protect their boys' but it'd just be nice to get it off your chest, although if it was me it'd probably just bring it all back and i'd end up getting wound up again!
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Depends, whilst you may not dispute the charge you can still ask for a personal hearing to plead your case. Could be another week if that's the case. Or non-personal (email / fax it in). Vardy/ the club will make some sort of submissions as well even if they're not appealing.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 I just know someone who's very good friends with someone. Hahaha classic FT that.
clark Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 I'm starting to feel better about this. I don't think they will extend his ban. Yes, they will think that it was not good what he did, but he is an England player and Hodgson has publicly come out to support him, and they will know that he was hard done by to be sent off in the first place. Even if you think he did wrong, his first yellow was not a yellow in the first place, there was no contact whatsoever. So taking it all into account, I reckon they will just leave it as one game ban and give him a fine so they aren't seen to condone what he did in mouthing off. That covers everything and is somewhat fair. Although the FA themselves are idiots, the panel is made up of ex-footballers I heard. So just the one game ban I am starting to think and that is just Swansea who we will probably get at least a point from. With Vardy back after that we'll be ok.

With Vardy back after that we'll be ok. if they don't give him a second game then n London (the Haringey part) will explode. the media have set him up with their pictures. sky are desperate to get this to game 38. the FA are on a hiding to nothing if they don't give him the second game. everyone expects it. why wouldn't they? it makes no logical sense to not do it. and when he does get the second game, can we not have a crescendo on here of vitriol. once they charged him it was pretty inevitable. there is the slightest chance that they can come up with some stuff about his good record, having never been infront of a panel before. I believe most of the other similar charges this season related to not leaving the pitch quickly which is not relevant on this occasion. I would put his chance of getting off the second game at 10% max.

Losing Vardy for 2 games could easily cost us the title. The Manure game is so critical with The Spuds playing Chelsea on the Monday.
