Danizen Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 lol good luck with that. I wonder what happened to that lad who had his one-man pitch invasion vs Brighton. Does anyone know?
ithuriel Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Nah, bet they will do what they did last time, those that get on first and are caught or those that use violence, ( cameras are dotted around the ground,) will get a season long ban at least and cheerio season ticket.
st albans fox Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 I definitely remember a pitch invasion after Aguero's goal, in 2012. I also remember the empty threats over the tannoy about there being no presentation if the fans stay on the pitch. If there was a pitch invasion, it would last no longer than 10 minutes which isn't really going to affect 'Barclays or PL people' and they won't leave and miss out on all the PR that comes with a Premier League trophy presentation just to save one hour. I'm not arsed either way about a pitch invasion. If it happens I'll join in, if not, I'll enjoy the celebrations. You're right I just googled it and that small time club citeh couldn't keep off the pitch! spose it depends on the emmotion at the time. they went from losers to winners in minute 94. Spurs win tonight and we are under a little bit of pressure. If it is tight Saturday and we score late on to win it then I guess will be tough to control things at the final whistle. If we've won it tonight then I won't really be able to understand why but then as I said, maybe it's a youth thing. should still do the paper thing though as it's the last game. the atmosphere pre k/o Swansea was incredible. if we need the atmosphere Saturday, I'm sure we won't let the boys down.
StanSP Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Nah, bet they will do what they did last time, those that get on first and are caught or those that use violence, ( cameras are dotted around the ground,) will get a season long ban at least and cheerio season ticket. why would anyone be violent? were there actually people that were violent for the Championship pitch invasion? (I didn't go on).
Matt Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Anyway, the point is, if it doesn't look as though it can happen after the match because the pitch has been invaded and the police and stewards don't feel they can restore order quickly enough, then I guess it will be postponed till the following week. there will be Barclays and PL people there who want to get back to London and they won't hang around for an extra hour. I don't recall the citeh fans invading the pitch when Aguerro scored.interesting one If Spurs fail to win tonight I see no point in a pitch invasion, if Spurs win tonight and we beat Everton on Saturday, I could understand it. (And this is coming from someone who was desperate for a pitch invasion when we won the Championship! )
ithuriel Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 why would anyone be violent? were there actually people that were violent for the Championship pitch invasion? (I didn't go on). Last time someone lamped a steward as they ran on, my mate saw it, said the poor steward did not know what had hit them.
Jace Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 If Spurs fail to win tonight I see no point in a pitch invasion, if Spurs win tonight and we beat Everton on Saturday, I could understand it. (And this is coming from someone who was desperate for a pitch invasion when we won the Championship! ) Thats the problem and what concerns me if Spurs draw or lose tonight, after the league 1 and Championship promotions it is clear we have several fans who don't really understand the logic in a pitch invasion
fazzyfox Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Just don't do anything that could lead to points deductions, I hear Spurs lawyers are currently scrutinising our player registrations in the hope of finding an ineligible player. They also stole urine samples from the training ground, now that really is taking the p***
GaelicFox Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 No. The trophy can only be lifted at the last game - Premier League rules. So it will be at Chelsea if we win it. Total bullshite ha ha ha
m4DD0gg Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Anyone whimpering about the presentation if there is a pitch invasion people need to turn their attentions to Man City's recent trophy presentations.
GaelicFox Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Last time someone lamped a steward as they ran on, my mate saw it, said the poor steward did not know what had hit them. Seeing the carry on of some of our drunken "fans" yesterday would really worry me about a 5.30 match and stewards being hurt if trying to prevent an invasion
stripeyfox Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 https://youtu.be/GZ8x9XZcUnQ If Spurs fail to win tonight I see no point in a pitch invasion, if Spurs win tonight and we beat Everton on Saturday, I could understand it. (And this is coming from someone who was desperate for a pitch invasion when we won the Championship! ) This. If we need a win on Saturday and get a late winner (or something) I can 100% understand a pitch invasion. If Spuds don't win tonight and it is all over, then a pitch invasion would be the gayest thing ever
Cornish Lair Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Discussing the lifting of a trophy we haven't actually won yet? I agree. It's not in the bag yet. Anything can still happen.
AyewJoking Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 yeah as fans you should be happy paying for your ticket, dont you dare run on to the pitch and get closer to the players!!!
ClaphamFox Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Total bullshite ha ha ha I'm guessing you missed the posts above where this was pointed out and I acknowledged my error? Oh well
GaelicFox Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 I'm guessing you missed the posts above where this was pointed out and I acknowledged my error? Oh well Sorry ya I did , sorry buddy
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 I'm still hoping its tonight anyway, I know its not the most glorious way to win it but winning is winning and we may still fail to beat Everton and Chelsea Yes, the quicker it is done, the better.
Len Finsbury Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 If we win it tonight, we should have the trophy presentation before kick off and Kasper should keep it in his goal throughout the game.
LJS Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 We had both after the Doncaster game a couple of years back? We'd already seen the trophy presentation so no issues there. No reason we can't have both. A pitch 'invasion' doesn't have to be a violent thing. I went for a wander after the Doncaster game; it was a novelty to walk on the pitch and go about the penalty areas and goals. I'd do the same again on Saturday if the opportunity arises. It was quite nice to celebrate with fans from around the ground who you're not normally near. I doubt the club would be too bothered either; they didn't ban anybody as far as I can remember last time.
MC Prussian Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Threads like this one make me want to cringe. Can't we at least wait until tonight's game between Chelsea and Tottenham has finished?
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Trophy presentation will 100% be after the Everton game, assuming it's all done and dusted. (source - a very very good one) As for possible pitch invasion, I think you'll find there'll be extra security / police and they'll be tightly linked all around the perimeter. One or two loons might get through but I don't think we'll see a mass invasion.
