Wow the black coffee in the morning really does speed things up, I was almost at a steady power walk when nearing the bathroom

Anyway back to the less important stuff, his head has been turned somewhere and I think he'll just leave it until the last second so he can then escape and do a runner onto the plane with his new elite pals.

All the best Vards but its left a sour taste.

All just in my opinion and not based on any facts..apart from the coffee bit!

I read this morning on BBC that we may be trying to meet his contract offer from Arsenal? Do we have any evidence this is true?

Only that the BBC don't usuuuuaaaally post articles based on complete hearsay. They generally only bother with the more concrete stuff.

It means they're usually very slow on the uptake and don't end up giving much "news" because it's usually known already. Does make them fairly reliable though.

Plus, why would we NOT counter offer? Fairly obvious we won't let him go easy.

You do realise that someone posting stuff in this thread isn't actual proof don't you? The ones people keep chucking around on here and Twitter I've never seen written anywhere else. Find a reputable source and I'm happy to admit I was wrong.

Chapero82 said "I like wearing ladies underwear". It's easy to pass stuff off as quotes.

People seem to be taking bits of different interviews, mixing them together and adding a bit of their own stuff for good measure.

I reckon the most annoying morning movements are those ones that feel like they're going to be glorious, then just turn out to be a massive fart.... means you have to go in for another round of coffee!

What are the quotes being chucked about? I've only seen posts from people saying that he said he wanted to be here for a long time and that he hoped, after winning the title, the squad would stay together

Well unless people are actually claiming he's gone and said 'yeah mate I'm definitely staying, quote me on that', I'm pretty certain most people are talking about the fact he's very recently said that he's happy to be here, that he wants to be part of the club for a long time, and that he hopes winning the title will keep the squad together. Obviously he's not talking in absolutes but when reading those at the time most people would think he's happy and not thinking about the move

They were probably discussing how shit the England game was on Friday when the picture was taken of them talking and some idiot has put 2 and 2 together and made up some bullshit !!

Go back a page or two.

As for being here for a long time, that was in January. As the old saying goes, 6 months is a long time in football. I very much doubt Vardy ever really expected Arsenal to bid for him, and he probably thought he would be here. Hence the positive but not totally committal quotes. There are very few players who ever commit categorically, and from what I see neither has he.

If he goes good luck to him. No matter how horrible it feels now, when you look back at title winning season on DVD in years to come, you'll feel immensely proud of every single player who took part... Especially a man who broke a record and scored the goals that took us to glory.

If he does a Martin O'Neill style u-turn he will go down as an even bigger legend (if possible).

Well I've had a cracking dump this morning so all is well

Had a good clear out this morning also but can feel number two moving about already.
