stripeyfox Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 I said it before. Vardy, along with all of this current Leicester side, has rightly cemented his place as a club legend. If he goes, he will still be the key player in our incredible title win. In 30 years time, those of us who are still around will remember the glorious league win of 2016 and be able to reel off the names of the players - and Jamie Vardy will still be the "poster boy" of the campaign. I really hope he stays, but I don't think he will and I can't blame him. It is a big pay rise, but more importantly the chance to play for an "elite" club. We all know that players like Lambert have found the grass to be not greener BUT sportsmen and athletes are a confident bunch and JV no doubt will think he can succeed at Arsenal. I guess there are three outcomes today a) he decides to stay b) he decides to accept Arsenal's offer or c) he defers a the decision until after England duty.

If he was staying surely contract would have been sorted yesterday and something announced. There is no reason to keep a'nal hanging but plenty of motivation to save face with LCFC fans. I am 95% sure he is gone.

Arrogant, patronising rubbish from idiot wannabe journos who don't understand football. If Arsenal offered him a deal at the tail end of last week then obviously we're going to have then put in a counter offer that he'll have considered over the weekend. That much is fairly obvious. He may very well be leaving but the idea that he's just pretending to be torn for the fans is eyeroll inducing.
