Harry - LCFC Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Any updates yet? Went to get a drink Yeah, apparently his missus uploaded a picture of herself downing a Vardybomb on Instagram then deleted it then apologised for any offence caused and then said don't read anything into it. Read into that what you will.
Vardinhio Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Any updates yet? Went to get a drink Still an LCFC player
J.Lisemore Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 What did you have to drink, Jace? A Vardy bomb no doubt.
WigstonWanderer Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 I think that's why what happens with Vardy is such an important move by the club. They either stick to their guns and let him rot away at Arsenal or potentially give in to player pressure and could see other agents matching or trying to out do each other - I guess it's one of the down sides to our success but hopefully the club deal with it in the right waySaid it a couple of weeks ago: Unless the club are prepared to pay more in wages across the board I suspect the best we can hope for is to be something like Southampton.Personally I don't think that's too bad, if we could reach the point where the player exodus is balanced by new talent, sufficient to maintain a top 8 or 10 status. It's certainly an option but might be more difficult to attain in practice. It is unrealistic to expect top 4 or 5 without an across the board increase. Certainly agree that if the club offer Vardy 120k whilst keeping Morgan on 30k, etc, that would affect team spirit and cause resentment. All our players deserve to be rewarded for this amazing season. Ps Apologies for my delayed responses to posts. Can't keep up with this thread despite being on it 24 hrs except for sleeping!
Mezeker Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 my cock gets hard merely at the possibility that he could reject Arsenal; how glorious would that be. I'm pretty sure he would be immortalized forever if he did that.
Gerard Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 I was originally against paying over £100k a week for any of our players but now I've changed my mind. We could easily lose all three of our big players this summer and it's highly likely their replacements won't be as good and we slip down to mid table and bang our best chance of hitting the big time is gone. It's a big risk and it's not my money but it will be a huge statement if we repel Arsenal and get all our key players on big contracts and sign three more top quality first team players this summer. Taking a moral stand now because we don't like being forced into this corner might be something we regret this time in a year or two and we ponder what if?
Vardinio'sCat Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Very funny you dumb c.unt Great start to your posting on FT, maybe you will get a grip with time, although your initial posts suggest that is unlikely.
WigstonWanderer Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 If I was in Vardy's shoes, either sign our improved contract or wait until after the Euros. If he takes the latter by storm, he will be a wanted man and his value will rise, so if we do have to sell its more money in the transfer kitty for us: http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/676906/Arsenal-Jamie-Vardy-Leicester-Arsene-Wenger-England-Euro-2016-Transfer-News-Gossip-Rumours Big risk, the converse is also true - if he fails to perform, or doesn't get picked his stock could fall.Given that Roy seems to be setting him up to fail I think this is the more likely outcome.
