Koke Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 Palace have a shocking fixture list. Boro can't score. Sunderland are almost down We are 3 points above Hull with a vastly superior GD. 1 minute ago, FoxinNotts said: Game in hand on some around us too Our game in hand is Arsenal away. A likely loss.
FoxinNotts Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 Boring will be feeling woeful after today, lost in cup, didn't score, results went against them in Prem
whetstonefox Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 Think the players should aim for top 10 - very doable. That said I'll be happy with staying up with a few games to spare
AmarteyAndChill Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 Fernando Llorente got injured today, not sure for how long though.
Beachyboy Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 Everton to beat Hull, Leicester to beat West ham leaves a 6 point gap to hull with vastly comfortable goal difference to them with them having 9 games left man city away and spurs being at home, being 2 of those games. I agree focus on ourselves new found confidence, an look up not down in the table.

STUHILL Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 Are people forgetting we have one of the biggest games of the club's history just a few days before the West Ham away game? I'm not so sure West Ham will be a walkover like some seem to be suggesting.
st albans fox Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 West Ham have just lost two on the bounce. Statistically we won't make it three.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 I must admit I was looking upwards, but today has been a nice reality check, hopefully will be the same for the players. Agree that West Ham will still be a tough game, more so now it's very important we win.

They haven't won in a while so must win the next. Nah, we're as likely to win as we would be had the won the last two. We just went on a 5 game losing run, it can happen. They're due a win isn't statistics.

UPinCarolina Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 No rest for the weary, push on Leicester boys. The PL knows no mercy.
Ted Maul Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 Bad day for results. There will always be twists and turns in a relegation battle though- our 2 wins were a huge twist in our favour, which means that today's results aren't a disaster. I'm uneasy about our position, but far from worried now the champions have turned up again. 4 wins will do it, with plenty of teams either near the bottom or on the beach left to play.
AmarteyAndChill Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 The Stoke, Sunderland back to back home games are huge. That will be the turning point to whether we stay up or go down imo.
Koke Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 Just think about this, under CR we'd be second bottom now stuck on 21 points and having lost 7 on the trot (no way we'd come back from 0-1 down v Hull under Ranieri). Last 2 games showed we're a pretty good team. I'm slightly uneasy but not worried.
Corky Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 I feel for him really but what is the point of Patrick Bamford at the moment? Palace, Norwich, Burnley and now Middlesbrough have all signed him in the past two years, he's played 20 league games in that time plus 3 League Cup matches and commanded a £5.5 million fee in January. Not even in the squad today.

Not even in the squad today. Just doesn't look like a Premier League player whenever I've seen him. Seems to have very little influence from the bench. I suspect he needs more time and regular starts in the Championship to try prove he can cut it in the Premier League. I have a hunch he will be a similar player to Nugent though, decent Championship player, but not good enough to make much of an impact in the Prem. Still young though, so who knows!
FrankieADZ Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 boro have only scored 19 goals this season in the league and look pretty toothless upfront imo, seem to be very one dimensional so to speak with the one big striker up top and 2 wide men either side and then they can provide service for them, personally i think its a fight of the third from bottom spot, i'd be surprised if Boro and Sunderland get out of it, imo i think it will be Hull that takes the last spot some pretty big games next weekend too with Sunderland at home to Burnley and Bournemouth vs Swansea, Palace vs Watford and Hull away at Everton

That would make them a top 5 side in terms of defense which isnt too shabby. You gotta think they arent as bad as some might think. Just need to bang in some goals.
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 March 2017 Posted 11 March 2017 Bad results for us today weren't they? Sunderland and Borough will go...they are both shite. Then it's one other and wide open with Hull winning today
