Rather we kept the midtable pack in striking distance tbf. Swansea catching up doesn't matter so much - Sunderland are gone and borough + hull are being cut adrift. Rather Bournemouth remained at most one point ahead and winning v Stoke could drag us up to 11th or so,
Tuna Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 2-0 Bournemouth game over. Media can go back to tugging over Howe now.
Stadt Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 I feel sorry for the sensible, match going Arsenal fans. Mourinho was spot n when he said Wenger was a specialist in failure, he's created a culture of mediocrity whereby just occasionally challenging for the title is enough. Football is about winning yet the shareholders are content so there's no desire for Arsenal to push on, we've embarrassed them since our return to the prem, we've shown all of AW's excuses are exactly that. Wenger isn't a winner.

Chester Dontlie Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 Every time I see Wenger I'm just thankful for the owners we have
AmarteyAndChill Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 The commentator said Bournemouth should now be a top 10 side ffs

martyn Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 Think I'm one of the few who wouldn't want Sigurdsson. Very good player granted, but probably not the type to play the harrasing/pressing role which we need from a number 10 to function. We need an Okazaki with a bit more quality
Merging Cultures Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 My Jamaican fam think this is hilarious blud.
ithuriel Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 Could almost be a group name, Wenger and the whiners

Pundits and journos lay into Arsenal players but refuse to point out the source of the problem.

smr Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 I see no reason why we can't finish 10th this season, and coupled with at least getting to the quarter finals of the Champions League - I'd have taken that at the start of the season.

My only concern is how reliant we are on pace when we press. Shinji has good acceleration which lets him press players in a flash. Sigurdsson wouldn't be able to provide that kind of intensity. However he is clearly an intelligent footballer and hard working, so I think he could easily adapt to our tactics.

He would be a brilliant signing if we wanted to achieve this.

I think the club can't find a better player that fits than him in the summer, he is a proven PL player, can play CAM, provides goals and assists and actually puts a shift in.
Tuna Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 Craig Dawson has 33 goals in 233 senior appearances...that's pretty impressive.
fazzyfox Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 Wenger being typically rude in defeat "One team tried to play, the other team defends". If it was a 0-0 fair enough but when the team that only defends score three? Of course WBA defended strongly and were physical all over the pitch but they've moved on from the days of picking six centre halves. Pulis seems to have something over Arsenal, maybe they should hire him, that would make for a fun day on Arsenal TV!
EastAnglianFox Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 They fully deserve it but I never thought id see a Chelsea team that included Victor Moses and Marcus Alonso win the league so comfortably.....Jesus, how good must Kante be!!
Legend_in_blue Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 Stoke dishing it out. Not a nice team to watch. Shocking challenges.
