Dan Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 We have absolutely fvcking dumped on this league. Jesus Christ. Arsenal have had their biggest ever meltdown and have finished 2nd. An absolute landslide.

Koke Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Chelsea fans were class. I have a lot of respect for them.
hackneyfox Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Chelsea fans were class. I have a lot of respect for them. I did today, but they'll still be caaants next season. If not tomorrow.
DifferentBlue Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Of course we will be - we hope to be challenging again next season (a lot of work needed for that!). More than happy to applaud you today though. Richly deserved and this season was a shot in the arm football needed.
TJB-fox Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Probably Better to judge shinji off the ball rather than on it, as I'm assuming that's how people are judging him right now. I say this he does some pretty silly things whilst on the ball and doesn't look much of a threat. He slips over, can often give the ball away, occasional poor touch and doesn't necessarily look that dangerous in front of goal. It's probably only his link up and build up play that's good when on the ball. It's his work off the ball that makes him such a great little player. And I don't just mean his blatant work rate. If we just wanted a second striker that would do **** all but chase the ball down I'm sure we could get one in Sunday league for £20 a match! His intelligence when making runs is fantastic. He always manages to conjure up a bit of space, usually for Mahrez or vardy. Sort of player who people will 100% look to replace for next season but I personally wouldn't be surprised if he starts the first game back (that's not to say I don't think we can improve on him)
weller54 Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Just back from Stamford Bridge. What a day... So so proud of our team and manager.. Words fail me.. Champions of England!!!!!

Someone summed it up neatly a couple of days ago (sorry, can't rememeber who) : 'Okazaki covers the opposition's holding midfielder so Kante and Drinkwater can stay close to the back four'.
brucey Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 What was in the goodie bags that Chelsea left on the away seats? And anyone got any footage of the Chelsea fans' reactions? They sound lovely
CosbehFox Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 I rarely criticise our support but I couldn't believe the lack of atmosphere and enthusiasm where as I was stood.
glen parva fox Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 Brilliant day out, Top with the fans, more goodies from the owners, Chelsea fans really good, why do a small amount of City fans try and cause trouble! will never understand it
SemperEadem Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 I rarely criticise our support but I couldn't believe the lack of atmosphere and enthusiasm where as I was stood. Bottom tier towards the right hand side?
CosbehFox Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 Bottom tier towards the right hand side? Top tier, left. A lot of faces you see at every away game but literally bring no atmosphere with it. We are champions of England and this was the final chance at a game to celebrate it. Yet you'd have thought we were already relegated. I'm rarely critical of our support because everyone has their reasons but come on this is once in a lifetime and folk are standing there lifeless.
Fox92 Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 Chelsea fans were class. I have a lot of respect for them. Got to agree, gone up in my estimation. After the game we went back to a pub near Kings Cross and a Chelsea fan bought us pints. Didn't have to do it but top man!

I'm rarely critical of our support because everyone has their reasons but come on this is once in a lifetime and folk are standing there lifeless. We were bottom tier on the left (very close to the Chelsea fans, who rightly ridiculed us) and from where I was stood it was the worst away end in terms of atmosphere, given the circumstances, I can ever remember. But that's what happens when some P1s and ALL P2s miss out. Huge number of faces I have never ever seen before. Disappointing end to a great season, atmosphere-wise. On a lighter note, thought we played pretty well. Had a great view of Drinky's strike. Loved it. Also, on the train home we were actually 'serenaded' by a couple of Arsenal fans singing 'we beat you twice'. absolute melts.

I was staggered at how poor it was . We were stood at the back of the lower tier to the right of the goal and whenever we started singing a fair few in front would look round at us as if we were a zoo attraction. Chelsea as a club and fanbase were fantastic though. The way they managed the day was superb.

The club rearranged my tickets and I was bottom tier on the second row. Stood for the first 10 before being told to sit. Second half I only stood to clap Fuchs taking a corner and got constant tapping on my back. Tbf I'll never stand if the people behind want to sit but just disappointing and the atmosphere could've been better too. Day as a whole was brilliant though, Chelsea were superb.
HEGGSY Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 Chelsea managed the day phenomenally. Fair play to them. Our end was poor tbh. But sounds like where we were at the back of the upper(right hand side) we were in the best place for it whenever it did pick up. Surprised so many were sitting shocking considering the circumstances. But the day was great and the Earls Court Tavern was decent.
Thracian Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 It almost makes me wince to read the seething vitriol on the Spurs fansite right now.
Guest claude_leic Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 I was in the home end and could not believe how poor our away end was. It was like we had been relegated and were going for one last premier league outing. To be honest our away support has been disappointing all season except for a few occasions. There are a lot of people who go every away game who have no interest in making any atmosphere. It's even more baffling considering how good our home support has been. It's like a large proportion of our away support comes from the middle of the east stand (quietest part of the stadium).
promised land Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 What was in the goodie bags that Chelsea left on the away seats? And anyone got any footage of the Chelsea fans' reactions? They sound lovely Chelsea didn't leave them, our owners left them, two flags one on a stick and one of those large 5x3 ones, two clappers, a blue wig with a hair net over it that most left on. A small gesture back to the fans, better than a smack round the chops.
Footballwipe Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 So glad people are picking up the atmosphere. Loads of times this season I've seen posts about our away ends being crap and I've not thought there a problem, mainly cause my tickets see me placed with the groups who do make an effort. But yesterday was turgid. You could tell from the off the people around me (back rows middle of upper tier) could not be bothered. One lent on a railing playing on his phone and lots of people around just didn't make the effort. Like many have said lots and lots of new faces. I noticed around me only the chants which had a few words were sung (briefly), sounded like some had no idea. I will say the game didn't level itself to a resounding atmosphere. I know we're champions and it's a once in a lifetime party but a thrilling game lends to an end but this was anything but a thrilling game. However the whole end was terrible. Contradicting myself a bit, but can we never hear the Will Grigg rip-off chant again. Ever. Thanks.
HEGGSY Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 Yeah who ever was singing that "Riyads on Fire" song in the upper tier yesterday, please don't
Bayfox Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 Girl in front of us spent the whole game and i mean the whole game, sat down on her phone, why? that ticket could have gone to someone who wanted to be there. And Agree with above to posts, the will grigg song should be left well alone. My time line on saturday was filled with, Derby are song stealers they nick every thing, then we attempt that on Sunday, dear god.
