sly1 Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Well done boys we go again next season so proud to be a leicester city fan well done up the city dilly dong
KP Fox Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 3 defeats is incredible! how many other teams have only lost 3 games in the premier league? i bet its less than 5 teams Yeah and we only lost against 3 teams since April LAST YEAR!
Jimothy Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Well, let's see: - Aston Villa: just didn't happen. Your info is wrong. In first leg, it is him assisting Dyer to win the game. In the second leg, it was a draw. - Stoke City: just didn't happen. Your info is wrong. In first leg, it was a draw where Mahrez scored a penalty and assisted Vardy. The second leg, Leicester won 3-0. - Southampton: just didn't happen. Your info is wrong. In first leg, the team was down 2-0. He came in for Okazaki at half-time and gave an assist to Vardy in injury time to tie the game. In the second leg, Morgan's header goal happened in the first half. - Tottenham: just didn't happen. Your info is wrong. In first leg, Mahrez scored to get a draw. In second leg, he was on the pitch when Huth scored. - Norwich: just didn't happen. Your info is wrong. In first leg, he was benched the whole game. In second leg, he started the attack that ended with Ulloa winning goal. - Watford: just didn't happen. Your info is wrong. In first leg, Mahrez was playing when the two winning goals were scored. In second leg, He indeed scored the 1-0 winning goal. - Sunderland: just didn't happen. Your info is wrong. In first leg, he scored two goals and the team won 4-2. In second leg, he was subbed when the team was leading 1-0. Conclusion: ?! He's talking about Okazaki not Mahrez.

MattCan Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 He's talking about Okazaki not Mahrez. Apologies ... Should have read more carefully ... Very stupid of me ... Sorry NewEnglandFox (I used to live in Providence btw)
stretch1965 Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Walking out of the KP today, I said to my mate what a crap end to the season only drawing away at Chelsea I aint coming again! Some guy nearby bit and said we have only lost 3 all season what were you expecting today? I could have carried it but explained it was a joke comment
NewEnglandFox Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Apologies ... Should have read more carefully ... Very stupid of me ... Sorry NewEnglandFox (I used to live in Providence btw) No problem. I've only been down to Providence once. I live 4 hours north in Maine.
Corky Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 12 unbeaten at the end of the season, 10 points clear, failed to score in 3 matches this season. Wonderful stuff from all involved. What a campaign.
Deucalion Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 We actually had enough points to win the league on 16th April when beating Sunderland took us to 72. All that worrying and nail biting for nothing !!
EGBFitness Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Glad to finish the season with a draw and not a loss. Played and felt like a friendly really, feel like we gave Chelsea far too much respect for a good 70 mins of the game but how much can be read into having nothing to play for / Ranieir return etc is debatable. Good all round team performance, think Kasper takes MOTM for me. Great goal by Drinky too, good to see him taking shots from outside the box Penalty decision felt a little soft but diving into a tackle in the box without getting the ball always increases the chances of giving away a penalty. To finish off.... SPURS!! lol I thought they were coming for us? 12 points gap, biggest loss of the season to an already goal shy relegated team and your biggest rivals pip you to 2nd at least they won the title of kings of chokers
Thracian Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Maintaining our unbeaten run and completing the season with only three defeats is awesome for anyone let alone an emerging club like ours but make no mistake, there's no reason we can't continue to do what we did again today - in demonstrating clearly that we're not easy opponents for anyone in the Premiership any longer. Now the work continues in trying to build still higher on what seems to be rock solid foundations both on and off the field. I really don't see why it can't happen because our current team has emphasised the formula that needs to be followed in terms of recruitment - an abundance of specialist ability, appreciation of collective responsibility, non-negotiable work ethic, concentration, all-for-one, one-for-all attitude and a determination to set standards by winning things and then winning some more. To me the Champions League, the Community Shield trip to Wembley, next season's Premiership and anything else that comes along are just upcoming opportunities to add to our increasingly glorious legend of fearless underdogs made good and I can't wait for the new chapters to be written and in the same manner as they've been recorded right across the world this wonderful season. Once again many will be expecting some sort of ant-climax but today's performance - especially compared with Tottenham's abject defeat against Newcastle - only emphasised that, to this Leicester team, the work ethic prevails on matchdays whatever and that no-one's prepared to to let standards drop for any reason. Quite the contrary - the aim is to scale new heights and prove a match and more for anyone, anywhere, anytime. Why anyone would willingly want their own character written out of the story I really can't imagine. Surely it can't be about more or ambition? The Leicester story can be bigger and better sporting story ever written. A soap opera of smiles - and what a change that makes!
Ric Flair Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Okazaki can go if we get a half decent fee for him, he's just not good enough consistently. Ok, he does some donkey work but we are better than that. Gray was our best outfield player first half and he gets subbed for that hillman? Not been impressed this season by Shinji, probably our poorest player whose played regularly. Decent point and a great goal by Drinkwater who deserves that. Hopefully it gets him in the Euro squad.
Webbo Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Shinji's won won us some games this season, he deserves a bit more respect.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 An excellent end to the season. Both teams were good, and a draw was a fair result. I was in the home end, and the Chelsea fans were great. It was a fantastic to hear the loud cheering and applause for Claudio, who must have loved it. A number of fans said they wished he was back with them. A good sporting occasion.
Izzy Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 On my stream it showed many Chelski fans also giving Mahrez a standing ovation when he was subbed. I thought that was a class act by them...(and NO, you can't sign him you fvckers)
Bryn Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Shinji isn't great, he's played an important part but definitely the first one I'd be looking to upgrade on. 5 goals and 2 assists, playing in the number 10 position, with Mahrez and Vardy to supply, is pretty poor. He's also 30. Thing is, we are worse off without him. He's essentially an advanced ball-winning midfielder. Whoever comes in needs to have the same engine but more quality.
leicesterseddon Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Good result in the end, although for most of the game it felt like a friendly. So happy for Claudio - he was much more classy than I would have been in the circumstances. Only got one axe to grind which was the number of people in our end who were just not P1 ST holders. In fact to be honest there were a lot of people who looked like they'd barely been to a football game before. Don't really mind because it's probably a one-off but I think they need to take a look at the priority scheme for next year...
norwichfox Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 We actually had enough points to win the league on 16th April when beating Sunderland took us to 72. All that worrying and nail biting for nothing !! I wish you'd have pointed this out on 16th April, I could have washed my lucky underpants earlier....
Koke Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Why doesn't 4-3-3 work for us with King, Drinkwater and Kante? On paper it doesn't look like a bad formation but we were poor in the 1st half. I don't understand.
Sammy Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 When Stamford Bridge rose as we sang "stand up for the champions"
promised land Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 On my stream it showed many Chelski fans also giving Mahrez a standing ovation when he was subbed. I thought that was a class act by them...(and NO, you can't sign him you fvckers)Chelsea fans were brilliant all day, when we first sang 'stand up for the champions' they did all around the ground, any related song to us being champions, they clapped, any Spurs songs, they joined in, the list goes on.They really were a great home set of fans, I saw the Mahrez appreciation from the top of the shed. ETA. When we came outside afterwards we were joined by our Italian friends who obviously live in London, in their City shirts with banners to boot. Top one boys.
