Bristol_foxes Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 LEICESTER CITY - 81 POINTS Arsenal - 10 Tottenham - 11 Man City - 15 Man Utd - 15 Southampton - 18 West Ham - 19 Liverpool - 21 Stoke - 30 Chelsea - 31 Everton -34 Swansea - 34 Watford - 36 West Brom - 38 Crystal Palace - 39 Bournemouth - 39 Sunderland - 42 Newcastle - 44 Norwich - 47 Aston Villa - 64 I wanted to see how far we finished ahead of certain teams... and I am really bored.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 We had a bigger gap on 2nd than 2nd did on 7th. Puts it into perspective.
ARM1968 Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 My eldest son keeps telling me we bummed the league. It means something different to me but I'll run with it. Didn't even lube them up either (sorry son).
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 The best one is the 31 point gap between us and Chelsea
Donut Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Tottenham's amazing season.....the one that saw them score 4 more points than Man Utd and Man City who everyone argued were terrible.
kingcarr21 Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 We got over 4 times more points than Villa. Incredible
HighPeakFox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 now translate it into percentages. I think the gap to Arsenal is 12%, and to Villa 79%!
Bayfox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 The best one is the 31 point gap between us and Chelsea I like the gap to Everton. Imagine telling them before the season. you have stones, baines, coleman, Barkley and lukaku. The latter will score 20 goals and score in 7 games in a row or whatever it was. And yet you will finish 34 points behind Leicester and vardy will score 11 in a row.
jammie82uk Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 The crazy thing I seen was since the beginning of the great escape last season we have played 47 games losing 4 but winning 30 of them
The Doctor Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 64 points ahead of Villa - they could play for another 2/3 seasons in this one and still not get close to catching up.
boots60 Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 25 places above Derby 36 places above forest 52 places above cov
Matt Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Not really into the football sticker on lamppost's, e.t.c, but it'd be great if there could be some Mind The Gap and something to do with LCFC sticker made for Tottenham away next season - And Arsenal for that matter but they're local to each other so it'd be killing two birds with one stone!
gerrytaggart Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 We should start next season on -10 points just to give everyone else a fighting chance!
Countryfox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Some geezer on the train just said that when I got off at Market Harborough .... Spooky or what ?!?!
TrentFox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 31 points above Chelsea. That's insane. Jeez, there was a time in the summer when I wondered if we might even get 31 points ourselves.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 25 places above Derby 36 places above forest 52 places above cov I like that stat Great stuff
bovril Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 25 places above Derby 36 places above forest 52 places above cov +1 for reminding me Cov exist for the first time in about six months.
steveherbe Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Saints fan has just said to me, only Spurs could finish 3rd in a 2 horse race. Absolute classic.
Kitchandro Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 64 points ahead of Villa - they could play for another 2/3 seasons in this one and still not get close to catching up. somebody tweet that to Jordan Veretout
ealingfox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 We could have donated all the bottom 3 enough points to finish on 42 with Palace and Bournemouth....and still finish above all of them.
Bristol_foxes Posted 19 May 2016 Author Posted 19 May 2016 Our gap to Chelsea (31 points) was the same as: Aston Villa's total 15/16 + Derby County's total 07/08 + the amount of points Chelsea, Tottenham, Man City, Newcastle, Sunderland, Watford, Norwich, Crystal Palace and Everton took off us this season.
