Fox92 Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 Loads of managerial rumours and/or changes starting to happen now so it's about time for a new thread... BBC reporting that Karl Robinson is set to be appointed Leeds manager. Which I find a bit strange considering the backing he has at MK Dons and, although Leeds are the much bigger club, joining a manager that won't give him as much time as he had at MK Dons. Billy Davies rumoured about the Blackburn (and Charlton) job too.
Fox92 Posted 23 May 2016 Author Posted 23 May 2016 Think it's harsh on Evans also, and I wouldn't be surprised if he ended back at Rotherham.
goose2010 Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 Why anyone would want to go to Leeds as manager is beyond me. Their owner is a nightmare, he make Tan at Cardiff look like a saint! Will be a tough season next year. Norwich and Newcastle will do well, Villa on the other hand, if they get their managerial appointment wrong they could go down again or have a season like QPR this year. Predictions: Auto Newcastle Norwich Playoffs No idea Maybe who ever doesn't go up next weekend Relegation Wolves (club is a mess!) Burton (will have a good go but just cant see them surviving) Barnsley or Millwall
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 Who do we want to come up and go down? I'll go for this Promoted Norwich Ipswich Villa (only cos of my long suffering Dad). Relegated Wolves Brum City QPR (don't mind seeing Preston / Rotherham / Reading drop either. Derby or Forest would be funny but don't want them too weak for general state of E Mids footy).
peach0000 Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 Promoted - Newcastle - Derby Play offs - Ipswich - Birmingham - Norwich - Brighton Relegated - Rotherham - Villa - One of the promoted teams
Fox92 Posted 23 May 2016 Author Posted 23 May 2016 Would like to see Rotherham (and Barnsley if they go up) do well as they are local to me but not really too bothered about any side really. Wouldn't mind seeing Birmingham make the top 6.
Langston Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 I think Huddersfield will drop, their squad is massively average and they've a manager who's hardly inspired anything since he joined. Don't fancy any of the promoted sides (aware the play off hasn't been sorted yet) to make a huge impression.
Wymsey Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 Derby will be up there, along with Brighton. For relegation, can see Fulham hovering in and around it if they don't sign any decent defenders in the next few months. Think Leeds will be the 'surprise' team, decent youth players from own academy and some good quality experienced ones too. Newcastle have to go straight up again, or it'll be really embarrassing for both Ashley and the fans.

I'm predicting 7-10th for them, they have gutless players who won't want to fight for wins against physical sides
filbertway Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 Fancy Rotherham to be pushing the play offs next season. If they can carry the momentum from the end of this season into next season they should be there or there abouts.

Langston Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 Karl Robinson turning down Leeds He'd be lucky to get a job that size, the guy is completely average. Now they're going after Bristol Rovers' manager apparently.
ScouseFox Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 Karl Robinson turning down Leeds He'd be lucky to get a job that size, the guy is completely average. Now they're going after Bristol Rovers' manager apparently. not a chance he's leaving them, like. back to back promotions, loves the job, fans and players, massive new ownership and probably new stadium and funds for a real crack at taking bristol rovers to their highest heights pretty much ever. who'd leave that to go to leeds right now? be nuts.
Manwell Pablo Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 Don't think they will though... I'm predicting 7-10th for them, they have gutless players who won't want to fight for wins against physical sides Had probably more accurate. The Newcastle team I've been watching under Benitez will piss it.

Seems bit unfair on Karl Robinson, he has a secure job at a club that he's doing a decent job with considering the resources available, why would he leave a club he's been at for 6 years to join an average championship club who will sack him in 6 months regardless of results.
Dan Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 I reckon Wigan might go up. They're incapable of staying in a league for more than a year.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 My very early Championship top six prediction: (I may change it depending on summer ins/outs, managerial changes etc) 1 Brighton 2 Newcastle Utd 3 Derby 4 Ipswich 5 Norwich 6 Wigan

The fans at Milton Keynes really aren't that keen any more, thought his recruitment after promotion to the Championship was shambolic and he was full of excuses. He'll not last the season unless he hits the ground running.
Corky Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 No one fancy Burton to do a Bournemouth then? No, they don't have the levels of investment that Bournemouth had.
Wymsey Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 Bristol Rovers' boss set for more Leeds talks. I'd advise him not to go to Leeds; he's done fantastic with Rovers, two consecutive promotions in 2 seasons in charge is some going. Leeds may be attractive due to their past, but it's going the internal matters that count - which isn't great considering Cellino likes having managerial-merry-go-rounds and apparently doing team selection/tactics at times. Like Cellino said himself about new managers; it's like watermelons, you can only judge someone/something by what it's like inside.
AjcW Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 No, they don't have the levels of investment that Bournemouth had. True of course. They do have a decent infrastructure though. They have the run of St Georges Park for next to nothing, not a bad training ground! They have a lego stadium that can be expanded as and when needed. They're perfect for investment so perhaps their lack of investment could change in the near future, amazed none of the local big breweries have no stake or sponsorship at present.
kingcarr21 Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 Newcastle will absolutely piss that league. I also think Villa will aswel. 1st - Newcastle 2nd - Villa 3rd - Birmingham 4th - Ipswich 5th - Derby 6th - Brighton/Sheff Wed (obviously whoever loses the play off final)
