tsintskaro Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Kasper improved a lot through season. At first if i considered him as a keeper who just doesnt make fatal errors and he was stable good/avarage keeper.Than he made some great saves and showed real character I dont see anyone replacing him right now
Lesteban Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 This is a very positive step IMO. We can expect to see more signings that provide direct competition for the quality already in the first team. Providing they all have the right attitude, the competition can only improve us more - and add strength in depth.
foxes21 Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Will he know some of our lads from man u as he came through their youth ranks didn't he?
ealingfox Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Very nice work. Quality player in a bargain deal and great lateral thinking, initiated on the quiet and hopefully wrapped up quickly. Think he will put Schmeichel under serious pressure.
sphericalfox Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 well that came out of nowhere I very much doubt that.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Will he know some of our lads from man u as he came through their youth ranks didn't he? Yep, exactly the same time as Drinkwater...
Foxxed Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Sorted. A GK and CB seem all but done. ST/LRW in the pipeline too. Walsh isn't ****ing around. Excellent.
weller54 Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Will he be a happy Ron Bob just warning our bench Conrad style?
Poznan34 Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Doesn't he qualify as a home grown player for the Champions League as well? Yes he does. Good business.
dbtcity Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 From absolutely nowhere, having 2 quality keepers is going to be massive next season, no more constantly worrying when Kasper picks up a little niggle here and there
theessexfox Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Surely we're not struggling for home grown players anyway?
Guest Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Very happy with this. Kasper finished the season brilliantly but every season he goes through a weak patch. This guy has been the German No.2 and wants to get back in his national side. Could be lifting the CL trophy this time next year.
Alex_LCFC Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Think were going to do what barca do with there keepers. One for all cup games and the other for all league games
dedlock Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 If this deal is done it's a real statement of intent. Competition for Kasper. A signal that there may be further quality additions throughout the squad.
Guest Manini Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 So I'm guessing this bloke is Germany's version of Jack Butland? (But older)
LegendOfJoe Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Are we going to do a Barcelona, Bravos in the league and Ter Stegen in the champions league? Cant see kasper being happy about not playing champions league though
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Sounds like an excellent signing, important to have a quality number 2 alongside Kasper.
st albans fox Posted 29 May 2016 Author Posted 29 May 2016 Is this a confirmed deal or just rumour?Confirmed by Hannover that we have activated his release cause ( yep - one of those !) and he is rravelling for a medical. We rarely comment until deals are done and dusted.
