foxes_rule1978 Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Genuine competition for Schemichel. Good to see. Imagine he'll play the cup games. Great to not be one injury or red card away from a 65 year old in nets
TheUltimateWinner Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Cracking keeper, can only improve Schmeichel too knowing he's going to have to be playing at his best every game
Liamlcfc1 Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 It's on Hannover website https://www.hannover96.de/aktuelles-termine/news/details/18725-option-gezogen-zieler-fuehrt-vertragsgespraeche.html
ballsooo Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 big upgrade when compared to someone like mika! genuine competition for kasper - wicked news!
ScouseFox Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 genuinely never heard of him like but yes get in champions league here we come
Vindaloo FOX Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 its good Ron but it's not the Premier League Trophy.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 its good Ron but it's not the Premier League Trophy. It isn't no but our backup keeper holding the World Cup ... I'm amazed
Bryn Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 This is a really signing. Good enough to come in as number one if Kasper loses form, with European and International experience.
Lesta Legend Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 And when people are somehow sceptical about the current premier league champions spending huge amounts on players they no little about (although they make out differently), the club seam to getting great value for money with players like this and the likely free transfer of hernandez.
HSV1896 Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Take good care of him By far our best player last season and saved our ass more than once. Unfortunately didn't get invited to the EC team eventho he eliminated the most clear-cut chances (?) this season. And let me tell you out of 34 games our defence was not 1st league-worthy 33 games. Also made 185 appearences in a row for us which puts him on a 2nd rank or so in that statistic. Overall a great guy and one of the best GK in the Bundesliga @@Foxin hell: It's not a free transfer. He will make use of his buy-out clause of 3.5 Mio Euro which runs out today at 23:59. Oh and he was voted our best player of last season https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqKEqMK33rs&feature=youtu.be Not the best video tho
lgfualol Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Some reports saying it's a free transfer Think it's a release clause, £2.6m.
Bryn Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Going to be interesting to watch this, because this guy will rate himself higher than Kasper. He's not going to come to Leicester to warm the bench. The competition can only benefit the rapidly-improving Schmeichel.
WigstonWanderer Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Was thinking:Ron Robert, Ron Robert, Ron, Ron, Ron....
J.Lisemore Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 No way. We've actually signed this guy? He is far too good to be a no.2! Top top keeper.
lgfualol Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 No way. We've actually signed this guy? He is far too good to be a no.2! Top top keeper. Going off the Hannover website, he's having contract talks and a medical with us so not 100%. However, I think he will deffo sign as his clause expires today like the Hannover fan above said.
Lesteban Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Despite reading all over the place how high rated this guy is (although the articles are a few years old), I've now spoken to 4 German friends who regularly watch Budesliga and the Prem and they all say he won't supplant Schmeichel, but will be a very good backup keeper.
TheMightySystem Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Schmeichel going to need to be on top of his game even though he was one clean sheet off the golden glove last year :L Good times if this guy is on the same level/ better then Schmeichel
foxes21 Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 everyone on reddit/twitter saying he's too good to be on the bench. That must be a good sign!
LCFC1996 Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Doesn't he qualify as a home grown player for the Champions League as well?
J.Lisemore Posted 29 May 2016 Posted 29 May 2016 Going off the Hannover website, he's having contract talks and a medical with us so not 100%. However, I think he will deffo sign as his clause expires today like the Hannover fan above said. Wow. This even makes me think Kasper could be on his way... Zieler could easily, and has been a no.1 for a few years now. 165 games in a row for Hannover from what I read. Interesting signing lads.
