It won't do google translate but the gist is that we'll pay the fee of 30/29 million euros in three parts.

I do feel like MattP now, just replying to myself in a thread I probably created in order to manipulate opinion that suits my agenda - apologies for that.

An amusing drunk so it's all good.

Just checking - is this guy a proper central striker like Vards? Will Shinji still operate in that sort of number 10 role? Will we play Slimani along with Vardy?

Fuchs knows- it's complicated.

Firstly he's an Ulloa/Okazaki replacement. Secondly he needs to learn to defend and hold up the ball the way we do, and thirdly he'll be an amazing addition when he gels with the above tasks..... Until then he'll be an understudy  - which he won t appreciate at this point.

I'm now barbitulated and retiring to slip into something comfortable - probably a coma.  If I wake from this I hope he's on a plane, heading to Leicester. I'd like to wake with news of him rubbing Mahrez's thigh in Morrisson's please...

Today Slimani joining LFC was all over Algerian forums.

There are reports saying he will be in Leicester Tuesday the latest. Somebody hearing anything here?

Here's a Google translated piece from a Portuguese Press:

English champions win race for Algerian and will pay in three installments

Sporting and Leicester agreed the transfer of the Algerian striker Slimani for the English champions for a fee of 29 million euros, found the DN.
The English club, coached by Claudio Ranieri, will pay this amount in three installments. Slimani was also intended by West Bromwich Albion, but Leicester is anticipated in the last hours.
The advanced 28 years should still face FC Porto in the classic this Sunday, should the deal be formalized only after.
It is recalled that Sporting is trying to hire the Dutch advanced Bas Dost (Wolfsburg) and Luc Castaignos (Eintracht Frankfurt), which can reach Alvalade in the coming hours.

Sorry to disappoint you but this won't be happening this coming Monday as he still has another 27 medicals to complete. Maybe the following Monday!

Talk of medicals is a capital crime on here. Some t***er gave me severe stick a month or so ago.. So be warned you may get a sarcastic response if you mention bodily investigations.. Supermarket sightings are a touchy subject.

Stockpiling strikers....

Are we sure he is definitely better than the 'PL-proven' Ulloa? Thought I saw somewhere Ulloa had a very amazing goals per min ratio last season? Fine if he's being brought in as an understudy/occasional sub until he proves himself to be better, but if he comes in and Ulloa gets sold/loaned out the next day, and Slimani doesn't gel for whatever reason, we will lose a tactical option..

I have read the As article. Firstly As is a Spanish daily sports newspaper mostly all football, a competitor of marca.

It says that a fee is agreed between the clubs, however the player will sign, he has not signed as yet.

Aparently the deal was agreed as we outbid Wba by an extra €5m, which if true goes against our apparent prudent policy when negotiating a transfer this summer.
