Andre Silva Posted 27 August 2016 Posted 27 August 2016 Hey guys. I'm a Sporting fan and I can tell you 3 seasons ago I kinda hated Slimani. I thought a player like him had no business in playing in Sporting, a team that loves to have the ball, loads of possession, lots of passing and this guy seemed completely unable to play. Unable to get a ball. To pass. To do whatever. Yet when our main striker went on a drought (Montero) this guy kept coming from the bench and scoring. And scoring. Little time, lots of goals. He ended up the year as our main striker. I still kinda disliked him. Next year he is our main striker and played much better. More goals, better abilities (he got much better)...yet I still wasn't a fan. Maybe i was a bit biased. Last year Jesus came to coach us and Slimani became a whole different beast. He always had this crazy physical qualities. Dude is a ****ing panzer that runs the entire game. He keeps crashing into other guys and does it over and over and over. Any defense player gets hurt just from it. Yet he also seemed to be able to pass. To play in-between the spacing of defenses and midfield. To be involved with the rest of the team. And he scored a lot. One great thing this guy has is that he scores when it's important. Big games he is always there and when we ****ing needed a goal. The team got so used to him, that without him it felt that nobody would ever score. I'm happy he's going to Leicester cause he deserves to play Champions League. I was, by no means, a fan of his game yet he became almost a idol to me. He came to Europe very very late but got so much better year after year. I think he will absolutely adore the physicality of the premier league. Wish him nothing but the best. I sincerely believe he has the qualities to be one of the top 3 strikers of the league (behind Aguero and Ibra).

He crosses the ball with a lot of strength. But he rarely does it (we only cross the ball to him lol). He's a beast at attacking the ball that comes from crossings. In that aspect, he's the type of player that you don't see frequently playing in europe. His headers are amazing.

How much is the move being talked about over there? All we've really got to go off at the minute is a reliable (ish) Algerian guy on Twitter and a Spanish news report.
