trabuch Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 how would we get more than his release clause? Lots of teams bidding against each other.
Webbo Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 I love Kante but I hate France. I feel conflicted so I'm out. Enjoy the game Me too. Really pleased for him but still want the bastards to lose.
Dodgy Bob Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 Is it me or does there not seem to be any sort of festival atmosphere around this tournament at all? Maybe it's just because Hodgson has destroyed any support I have for England but it seems so flat.
foxfanazer Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 Lots of teams bidding against each other.but they'd all offer the release clause and then compete with offering better personal terms
Webbo Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 Lots of teams bidding against each other. They'd be bidding wages, they still wouldn't pay more to us.
CollinsLCFC Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 At least if he has a brilliant tournament (which we all know he will) we will get much more than his release clause. Yeah, Arsenal might throw the extra quid in.
trabuch Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 but they'd all offer the release clause and then compete with offering better personal terms Good point - It all seems so unfair. But then again we won the league and they'll never take that away. Come on Romania!
onekeithweller Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 France need Vardy on the end of those through balls.
foxfanazer Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 Just the 4 Kanté interceptions so far Is it possible that he looks even better for France than he does for us? Doesn't get to show off much of his passing abilities and how brilliant he is at getting out of tight spaces for us
Jimothy Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 Apart from the obviously brilliant Kante, I've not been overly impressed by France so far, especially considering they were being talked as favourites.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 Is it me or does there not seem to be any sort of festival atmosphere around this tournament at all? Maybe it's just because Hodgson has destroyed any support I have for England but it seems so flat. France is still a country somewhat on high alert - something that the hooligans don't appreciate and is no doubt why the French police, who historically can be heavy handed are even more tilted that way.
Parafox Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 Why do i find Clive Tyldelsly such a dull commentator and Hoddle might as well not be there. I don't want to watch ITV's half time punditry either
foxfanazer Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 The atmosphere is dreadful and the opening ceremony was atrocious. Don't know if the threat of terror has people a bit on edge
Sharpe's Fox Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 Wonder how many of those Romania supporters were contesting territories in the tourist spots earlier.
stix Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 Only one France-based player in that starting XI, Matuidi. So if the 'homesick' thing is true about Kanté then I doubt he'll be getting his head turned that much by the squad to return to France. If he wants to go anyway though it probably won't make a difference.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 The atmosphere is dreadful and the opening ceremony was atrocious. Don't know if the threat of terror has people a bit on edge Must remember there's also strikes going on AND Paris had a shit load of rain last week, so flooding was a problem.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 Somewhat poor first half from France, early nerves... Kante been great but Giroud is as bad as always
