Bluetintedspecs Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 May I make a suggestion that people summising it's guess work is that it's actually guess work on their part that it's guesswork!
Foxxed Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 This is fueling fire to Jace's Wenger wants to rock the boat, not sign vardy, theory.
Bazly Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Fans are so fickle so it really is something to expect players to be anything but fickle. Just read an Arsenal blog where the latest is they are hoping he doesn't come because it'd be hard to cheer on a racist. FFS what a World we live in.
st albans fox Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Sudden movement with skybet From 7/5 to go out to 9/4 From 4/6 to stay to 1/3 Either a biggish bet (relative) or they have heard something

Wouldn't be surprised if the bookies bunged him money just to generate bets
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Read in to this whatever, if indeed there is anything to. I understand his house is/ was up for sale (despite him saying he didn't fancy moving house again, maybe not ideal having shirts thrown in to his garden) this was before any arsenal talk. He viewed a property Oakham/ Rutland way, but did not follow it up. Again this was before any link. This is in the bracket of the most expensive houses in Leicestershire/ Rutland, pool, masses of land.etc (in fact there is only one more) its off the market now. Although a silly amount of money, if this is the level he wants he won't get anywhere close in North London. Commuting is not ideal.
Jimothy Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Freddie Ljungberg just told me the deal is back on Johan Djourou has just told me it's 50/50

Wouldn't be surprised if the bookies bunged him money just to generate bets Been watching it edge down all week and the movement since breakfast time was larger (in the stay direction) than any I've seen so far. To give you some idea, he went 1/3 mon pm when the deal looked off. Since then, the price lengthened, bit by bit till it settled yesterday evening at 4/6. To go back to 1/3 in one movement is notable.
Jamiebux Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Not sure if this has been spoken about in the locked thread but could vardy have been advised that his book sales and potential movie sales could be dramatically effected if he left us now ? Not sure if the sales of movie and book would then make the move to Arsenal as profitable but if he stayed here with a massive pay rise I'm sue he will be better off financially. Doubt Arsenal fans will watch the movie or buy the book . Just a thought .

The money he'd earn from Arsenal would outweigh the film/book money in the long run but it might be a reason to delay signing until after the Euros
shade Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 The money he'd earn from Arsenal would outweigh the film/book money in the long run but it might be a reason to delay signing until after the Euros dunno why we're still talking about money, vards has already categorically stated money isn't important to him at all, it's the last thing on his mind. he said he's happy at Leicester and enjoying his football so we can rule that out as well. he seems to get on well with the manager and team mates so we can rule that out as well. he's winning trophies, setting records, future charity shield at Wembley to look forward to so we can rule out winning things. he's playing champions league football next season so we can rule that out. he's made the England squad while playing for us so we can rule that out as well. football agents aren't greedy people so we can rule out the agent agitating for a move/more money as well....
Gerard Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 There are very few people in this country to whom money isn't important and Vardy won't be one of them.

He got married, and once that little lady starts nagging him in his hear that the grass is greener..
Foxxed Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 He offered him £120k a week just to rock the boat? I'm assuming the deal was purposely delayed, and such was quoted, but never fully there. If it was on the table ready to be signed, and they were sure he would sign, then they could have assumed they'll bench him for a year or six months and then sell him on.

I see, so it was all made up by the papers and Vardy will turn down any increase in money.
Moksky Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 These are what I know as facts, Vardy is on £80k a week currently at Leicester. Vardy has turned down a fitness test as Arsenal wanted to wrap the deal up before he left for France. Reason is he wanted to see what Leicester had to offer. Please dont bother asking my source. Another fact is I can not say exactley what he will do for sure, but based on the what I know, he will stay. Could be a nice little earner at 11/2 for me.
