It's not that he's shit, he is just so low on form and confidence it beggars belief that a player like that can be picked at a major international tournament.

Im sure there's some link to the PL and money being a factor too somehow. No doubt there'll be another massive postmortem if we go out and then we'll repeat the whole process again in two years. Predictable and depressing really... There's plenty of player's with the passion and desire to play for England but unfortunately they don't get picked as the system favours the kids that have progressed through the England ranks irrespective of whether or not they reach their potential or have the attitude to succeed. The whole system is fundamentally flawed.
