WigstonWanderer Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Interesting, maybe gives us a bit of hope that Kante could stay? Also could we expect to sign an attack minded right back this window if 4-3-3 is our stock formation? De Laet?
Gerard Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 De Laet? No chance, simply not good enough. He'll be sold for any half decent offer.
mozartfox Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Having googled his agent, there is quite a lot on him but sadly all in Portuguese. I translated a small paragraph which said he is well respected, so hopefully he and Anderson can get this done in under 100 pages.
FireFox Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 So only 92 more pages to thread the needle through the village?
MPH Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 So only 92 more pages to thread the needle through the village? Got to wait for the bullet, silly!!
Babylon Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 If this lad is an out and out No. 10 then you can forget it Could you start expanding a bit more when you post... it feels like we're deciphering riddles all the time.
Brazilian Guy Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 4 million euros is £3,426,000 £3,426,000 divided by 12 is £285,500 £285,500 divided by 4 Is £71,375 That means he would be earning around 70k a week. I would be very surprised if that's true & if it is then that's one huge of a pay rise I would imagine. Anyone know what he currently earns weekly? Yes, he earns R$170k per month, which gives nearly £10k a week.
MPH Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Yes, he earns R$170k per month, which gives nearly £10k a week. Hows a man supposed to survive on only 10k a week! The lad needs to come to us. We'll look after him.
ramadaone Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Could you start expanding a bit more when you post... it feels like we're deciphering riddles all the time. Wouldn't you find that quite boring ? Would never get to 200 pages then
sphericalfox Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Wouldn't you find that quite boring ? Would never get to 200 pages then So? Is there more to your post other than an opinion on no.10s?
eddylcfc Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 According to 'San' (supposed reliable Brazilian guy) on twitter, " Agent of Grêmio's Luan says an agreement between player and Leicester City will be settled once the club sends the official document."
tsintskaro Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 This agreement gone too far just like we are going to sign Messi enough already
mozartfox Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 According to 'San' (supposed reliable Brazilian guy) on twitter, " Agent of Grêmio's Luan says an agreement between player and Leicester City will be settled once the club sends the official document." Contract to big to fit up Rudder's Carrier Pidgeon's Arsenal? May be use e-mail?
amemkokaine Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 Dear fellows, I'm a Grêmio fan and I have watched every game Luan played since 2014. If there's anyone interested, I could tell more about him, since most of you probably haven't followed Grêmio in the last few years I heard of Leicester's interest in Luan this week and have been pretty worried about losing our best player to Europe. Then I found this thread on Google and had some good laughs. Hope I'm not bothering you guys. Here are my contributions. Luan pros: He can play at any position upfront. When he's playing as a false 9, he scores more often. When he's on the wings or playing as a classic 10, he assists more. At any position, he will be participating a lot of the game. He has good pass and vision, and this helps the team to control the ball and open spaces. Even if his numbers are not bad, they don't say all about him, since he usually has a deeper impact in the field than just scoring and assisting. If I had to point out his most remarkable skill it would be his close ball control. He is a very very very skilled and intelligent player, and also quite cold-blooded in front of the goal. He is the guy in charge of penalties and free kicks, and is very good at it. Luan cons: not very strong, needs to work on that. You can see on Youtube how slim he is. Many people say he's quick, but I don't agree with that. He thinks fast, and this helps him fooling defenders, but he's not a guy that will beat defenders on long runs. Also I don't remember of him receiving a red card, but I must say he tries a lot (by calling rivals to fight, using his elbows etc.). On the plus side, I have never seen he diving or trying to fool referees. I like to compare him to Rivaldo. Not because he's as good as Rivaldo (which he's not), but because they have this thing of playing at every position in the attack, show great technique but not amazing speed/stamina. His end result is great anyway and you would see lots of flair as well, which is always nice. Only regret there's not enough decent compilation videos of him on Youtube. Please see a few goals and assists I collected from what I can remember: Free kicks goals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNF2wQIw2xU: Out of the box goals: Inside the box goals: Header goals This video is interesting because it only brings the goals he scored in the Brazilian league this year so far (we're in the 14th round now), so this is what he has done in the last two months: This one I found brings lots of different goals and assists until two months ago:
Wolfox Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 @@amemkokaine Thanks for the info... Looks like an exciting player. Do you think the price is right? Not over inflated? Will he enjoy the pace/ physicality of the English league?
KFS Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 That's class, thanks. Looks a bit of a Vardy- Mahrez hybrid? Also, I'm not sure we've really got a player who can bend a ball like that in our armoury which makes this an exciting prospect!
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 Yes, he earns R$170k per month, which gives nearly £10k a week. Wow what a pay rise. Bet he's on the phone to his agent every minute of the day at the moment!
foxes21 Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 so will he be the main back up to vardy? i'm confused where else he fits in, even with his versatility mahrez, albrighton, musa, gray, schlupp have he wings covered & ramadaone said we can forget about signing a no.10.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 Why does everyone presume Musa has been signed as a winger? He can play out on the left but he's best down the middle getting behind the defence just like Vardy. I think Musa & Vardy will compete for the top spot then Okazaki & Luan will compete for the second striker spot.
foxes21 Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 Luan, Musa, Vardy, Mahrez. LM, ST, ST, RM I just got a semi
Gerard Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 @amemkokaine Do you think he'll be good enough for the national team and is he worth the fee? I think this one is a goer for us. We need another player who can break teams down that park the bus, another clever player who doesn't mainly rely on their physical assets like Vardy and Musa. His versatility means he could replace any of the front three or play the second striker, No 10 role or false 9 when we want four attacking players on the pitch.
dpjfox Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 if he is going to the Olympics he will miss allpre season matches/training + league and cup games potentially until August 20th
