One of the sensations football last season, Leicester City is in Brazil and is interested in signing striker Luan, Gremio. In a two-hour meeting last week, he presented a project for the young striker. The promise is to make an official proposal to the gaucho club until the end of the transfer window at the end of August

The meeting was attended by emissaries of Leicester, English champions last season, and the businessman Luan, Jair Peixoto. At the meeting, details were given of what will be offered to the attacker. As found the GloboEsporte.com an "irresistible" offer the athlete's point of view. The deputy Alberto Guerra says that football has taken knowledge of the subject by the press and no one sought Gremio to address the situation.

But in addition to convince the player, any proposal of the English club has to be seen with good eyes and also meet the Guild's interests. Something that has not been done. The speech of the club is not received offers for any player, just polls.  Leicester is seen as a good club Luan start his career in European football. The young man would be in a team that has the Champions League ahead and was English champion last season. The team of Claudio Ranieri was the feeling with the performance last season. Before the Gre-Nal, the striker said he would ask for your representative and Gremio himself did not pass anything to him until it was something concrete.- I try not know, I do not speak to me only when you have something concrete, so I stick to the head Gremio - Luan told a news conference. The English team has had another contract option in Porto Alegre: Inter striker Eduardo Sasha. There was a contact with the manager of the player and a first proposal was rejected .Thereafter, the cooled interest. Last year, there was also the attempt to hire the Chilean Charles Aránguiz then on Inter, who preferred to go to Bayer Leverkusen, Germany.Luan is the most valued players Gremio alongside Walace and Miller Bolaños. In 2015, President Romildo Bolzan Junior said he refused proposal of R $ 50 million by the attacker and expects to receive it by more than 25 million euros (about R $ 90.4 million in the current share price). Gremio has 70% of the economic rights of the attacker, called for Olympic selection.

A 10 euro release clause should swing it. Come on El Ruddos, you know it makes sense.

sky sports reporting they want £35mil

Musa be in dollas? Surely?

Though if Palace will spunk £31m on Benteke, then we can cash up for a promising Brazilian who might easily recoup that either in performance or sell-on.

on the transfer blog off sky sports. would be a rip off at £35mil. Still want him though

"FOXES WANT £35M-RATED LUAN

Leicester City are keeping tabs on Gremio forward Luan, according to reports in Brazilian publication Globo.

The 23-year-old, who will be on duty for Brazil at the Olympics this summer, reportedly held “a two-hour meeting” with the Premier League champions on Monday but Gremio want £35m for the striker.

Leicester are also expected to wrap up the signing of Ahmed Musa from CSKA Moscow"

having watched this kid quite a bit i must say £35 million would be over the top for a kid who has been doing well in the Brazilian league, as i have said before its a very poor league and coming to the Prem would be a massive step up for Luan and a expensive gamble for us.

If he has a good Olympic games i could see other teams from around Europe going in for him to and we could find ourselves in a big biding war.

the kid is no doubt a talent and i would love him here.

The first translation says Gremio want upward of £25 million....

We'd get him for just less than £20 million with add ons, its posturing and touting that's all.

I'm pretty sure they'd take anything near £20m.

From what I've read this kid is one of the better players in Brazil but he's no Neymar or Ronaldo. Who knows how good he may become but he's not a sure thing like Neymar and Messi were when they came to Europe.

Messi a sure thing??

Born and raised in central Argentina, Messi was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency as a child. At age 13, he relocated to Spain to join Barcelona, who agreed to pay for his medical treatment. After a fast progression through Barcelona's youth academy, Messi made his competitive debut aged 17 in October 2004. Despite being injury-prone during his early career, he established himself as an integral player for the club within the next three years, finishing 2007 as a finalist for both the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year award, a feat he repeated the following year. His first uninterrupted campaign came in the 2008–09 season, during which he helped Barcelona achieve the first treble in Spanish football. At 22 years old, Messi won the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year award by record voting margins.

I know about the growth problems but Capello tried to sign Messi after watching him play as a 16 year old against his Juventus side in a friendly.

Even at 13 there may have been doubts about his growth but none about his ability.

Exactly. Barca would not have paid for his treatments if he wasn't clearly talented.

If we're looking for a player like this....why are we bypassing Ben Yedder?

Another frenchman, and can play the okazaki role.

It was a calculated risk yes. The money was peanuts for a club of barca stature. However it wasn't a sure thing or nailed on, otherwise some 3rd party in Argentina would have paid. Imagine how much they could have made.

And someone trying to sign him at 16. After 3 years of treatment is not the same as taking him at 13 is it.
