VLC86 Posted 30 July 2016 Posted 30 July 2016 Recon Shakey met big Sam at Newcastle? Could be something in this.
Len Finsbury Posted 30 July 2016 Posted 30 July 2016 Perhaps Big Sam liked what he saw at the charity Socceraid thing
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 Shakey flew out with the squad here to LA last Sunday and he'll fly home with the squad later today. I'll ask him if he worked with Big Sam at Newcastle, not sure if anyone is interested in that......
dedlock Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 Whether or not Shakey has worked with Sam it's likely, after the approach for Clement was blocked by Bayern, that Sam is looking for accomplished, successful coaching staff. Shakey fits that mould.
st albans fox Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 Are they flying home or straight to Stockholm Geoff!
john ridley Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 Reports in the mirror again , regarding the assistant mangers job , says shakeys keen to see what's on offer ?.
Guest Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 I'm told he wasn't given permission to speak the England initially but effectively told rudkin that if he couldn't work both jobs he'd only be working one and it wouldn't be in Leicester. Permission then granted. Obviously it's impossible to know how near or far that is from the truth.

Reports on clement (who apparently turned down the offer) say that he couldn't manage to do both jobs from Munich. Hopefully shakey closeness to st George's park makes doing both jobs workable.
RoyFox Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 Didn't see him at the game last night or PSG, can anyone correct me?

I don't have a problem with Shaky working for us AND England - but if it does happen, it makes it even more crucial for us to appoint AT LEAST ONE more Assistant Manager / Coach. WIth Walshy going and Shaky being part-time, we would be desperate for extra Coaching staff - I think we would need two new guys. Has anyone heard anything about potential incoming Assistants to replace Walsh ?

Didn't Ranieri bring his entire coaching staff, under normal situations Walsh, Shakey & others would've been sacked anyway

Clever Fox Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 Delighted for him, He deserves the recognition for what he's achieved here. It can only be good for the Club also.
The whole world smiles Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 I am an England and Leicester fan and this is good news for both.
