My Leicester shirt died like this.

How did your Leicester shirt 'die'?

Mine died on Wembley Way on its first public outing. Fellow Leicester fan with a fag just walked straight into me and burnt a perfect hole straight through it. £80 down the tube. Oh well. It was beautiful while it lasted. A bit like the life of a Mayfly; a one day life span!

Too many tragic stories on this forum nowadays.

First a stolen inflatable dinosaur, now a dead shirt, what next? My Dog ate my season ticket?

Whoosh! It is an attempt at a lighthearted topic! Even though it was a tragedy to me. Never mind!

I was really pleased with the shirt at my seat yesterday. My replica Leicester shirt is so stiflingly hot I took the opportunity to switch it straight away. Do they not do any proper testing on these things?! Not all football shirts are that bad. Why are the current ones so baking to wear...

Sorry to hear about the cigarette incident, Sydenham. There was some pretty nasty bottle throwing (from both sets of fans) as we traveled up Wembley Way to the stadium. Accepted this was 'all part of the game' in the 80s but this is just not right nowadays when there were so many kids around.

Embarrassing.

Aside from all that it was a top day and those glimpses of Musa, Vardy, Mahrez and Gray attacking at such high-speed all at once was awe inspiring. Lots of good things to come this season!

Thank you Zealot. Perhaps I should have embraced the cigarette hole as added ventilation. I agree with you. They are quite warm, aren't they?

Jeeze, with all this ventilation in here I would have thought the shirts would be cooler to wear!

Yes. On a second reading I now see that. Apologies to Kingfox. Dry humour sometimes difficult to detect without emojis, etc.,
With that I shall whoosh on out of here...

It is a lot of money. You're absolutely right about that. But I can't think of a more visible way to support the club. And I love wearing it down here in South East London. Getting the thumbs up from bus drivers and locals down here coming up to say congrats. Plus, I can't really afford it to be honest. Went in to the old overdraft for the blue kit AND the away kit!

Find it weird that so many people's shirts seem to get ruined in the washing machine. I wash mine in there all the time and Ive not had a logo or letter etc peel off once.

It's amazing the build quality of the different shirts, isn't it? I have shirts dating back that would have survived a nuclear explosion, others you only need to look at them and they start disintegrating :P

innit, always wondered about this. i don't buy shirts no more but when i was younger i had loads and they went through washes an tumble driers almost daily and never looked anything other than a bit worn after a year when they got replaced by the new one anyway. what are people doing to their gear.

Years ago it was living with an ex girlfriend and she put my 96/97 away shirt in the all in one washer/dryer, 4 hours later when it eventually surfaced the Walkers and Fox Leisure logos were completely gone,

it didnt cost £80 but i did wear that shirt to Wembley in 2000 so it did hold sentimental values! Probably the reason she's now my ex actually
