Larry_LCFC Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Teams have worked us out after last season. We can still break away but not as much. We seriously need to take those chances when they arise otherwise we will struggle for goals. We were scoring for fun with this team last year.
EGBFitness Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Really impressed today. Dissappinted with the the draw as we was the better team and deserved the win but million times better than last week. Drinkwater was class! Best player on the pitch today! Vardy looked sharper, Mahrez looked more up for it and Wes had solid game - looked twice the player from last week with Huth. Mendy looked good, disappointing to see him go off, hopefully not out too long - any news yet? Only moans is why did Musa come on with only 5 to go? Game was screaming his name with 20 to go! Was so dangerous on the attack! And why does it seem like we allow opposition wingers time on the ball to attack rather than closing down quicker? Noticed in Hull and pre season games. We was robbed with penalty decision too! Blatant penalty!
adam Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Don't completely agree with the Okazaki love in .Thought we looked far better with Ulloa and actually looked like scoring. Musa was bought on far too late but apart from that thought it was a decent effort and we were very unlucky.
Raj Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Decent game. Deserved that stonewall pen. Just waiting for Vards n Mahrez to Click again which they will. Great to have Huth back though.
Merging Cultures Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 I wish we were at home last week. The noise is amazing. We'd have started differently 100%
Ric Flair Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Riyad Mahrez was sensational 2nd half. Thank any god that supposedly exists that's he's staying. Clattenburg can eat shit.

Merging Cultures Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Oka has been great so far (second half just started on my DVR)
lgfualol Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Okachan is staying on his feet a lot more nowadays
Dan Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Bit disappointed to come out of that without three points but that's about the only real negative. We looked our old selves today and it's eased a lot of my worries that crept in last week. Morgan, Huth and Drinkwater all terrific.
Merging Cultures Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Arse. Mendy was doing so well. I hope this injury isn't too bad.
Merging Cultures Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Get him in the cryo chamber straight away
benpicko Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 We may have been robbed of one of the penalties but we created absolutely **** all. Have to do better than that, and hopefully this is a wake-up call to either play 3 in midfield or sign a better replacement for Kanté.
Merging Cultures Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Not too sure what people were seeing in Mendy?Perhaps because you're in love with Ngolo.
ChownLC Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Just now, Merging Cultures said: Perhaps because you're in love with Ngolo. Expected that reply, i dont expect anyone to be able to replace him but Mendy didnt really have an impact on the game imo.

With a lesser keeper and defenders some of those passes and moves will have resulted in goals.
esoog Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Mendy seemed to be holding back a fair while. When he just started to get stuck in and more involved he was unlucky to get injured. Need to see more of him, and allow him to gel with team.

I think we moved the ball well, but Arsenal actually surprised me with how well they defended but still they were dirty and should have gone to 10 and gave a penalty away...

I've not been that impressed by him. I don't think he's been particularly bad but he's not really imposed himself on any game yet, in pre-season or today. Early days though.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Thought Drinky was outstanding today ,Vards and Riyad a gnats knacker away from their best!

Yeah im sure he'll improve over time but he seemed to be chasing shadows and a little clumsy. Also how do i change my username on here?
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Much better than last week. Let's hope we carry it on from next week and smash the swans
Realist Guy In The Room Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Thought first half Mendy was pretty ordinary. Second half he started to look decent and was a shame the injury came when it did as he was really coming into it. I think he held Musa back as Arsenal still looked quite dangerous down that side and Albrighton was nullifying a lot of their attacks. When it got to the point where he'd ran out of gas, Musa was introduced and to be honest, had enough of an impact to have won us the game. If Clattenberg hadn't the pre-conceived idea that we'd gotten soft penalties last year, we would have won the game. I cant think of any other reason why he didn't give at least one.
