I can't say I disagree. She knows little about sports, but even she can see that. She's a keeper mate

m4DD0gg Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Great performance and would have been no doubt 3 points if not for the stupid decisions.
VIKTOR-LE5 Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Albrighton should av been taken off earlier slow in the brain an caught in possesion to often.

stix Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 These new rules about holding/fouls in the box either need implementing fully or binned. We saw in the early kick off today Mike Dean implementing the new rules and awarding 2 penalties for what last season would seem very soft, especially the 2nd. Then this evening Clattenburg waves away a clear penalty against Musa, which was clearly more of a foul than either one in the early kick off imo. If it wasn't a foul, then it was a clear dive. So book Musa or give the pen. Ref bottled it imo. I understand it's difficult in real time, but this is the career path they chose, nobody forced them. If I made a shocker like that at work id be reprimanded for sure, for me, there is no difference for refs. There is that much money involved in this league nowadays that these decisions can become very expensive ones. I'm definitely pro video technology at the minute.
brucey Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Top trolling from Vards walking around wearing an Arsenal shirt. Lovely

Larry_LCFC Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 For the observant ones amongst us, what was the second song the cheerleaders were dancing to on the pitch? Quite a tune
foxes21 Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 To be honest i thought everyone played well. No-one below 7/10, with a couple of 8/10's sprinkled in. Pleased with this performance

Callabinho Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Better than last week, however I felt they were a decent centre forward away from winning. Defensively we looked more organised, but the formation won't work as well this season, Mendy offered nothing defensively at all and clearly the 4-4-2 doesn't suite him. Albrighton was very erratic, lots of pointless balls into the box for Cech to come and catch, forward line for me struggled to create enough meaningful chances and when we did the execution was poor. Today the 4-4-2 looked rigid, Arsenal found their way through too easily countless times but their usual farting about ensued once they breached the midfield which let us off once or twice, we are still looking to drop the ball over the top to Vardy and it's becoming too predictable they dealt with him perfectly today which is why I was shocked Musa didn't come on earlier. I think we need to go for another CDM and another forward thinking creative player, somebody who likes the ball at their feet and is also competent with it.
49er Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Good to have Huth back - organised the defence well and Morgan benefited from his presence. Thought that Simpson had a good game. Drinkwater was fantastic in midfield. Not sure about bringing Ulloa on - I thought the idea was to use his height, but this didn't happen. Albrighton had a solid game. Vardy was ok - still not at his best though. Last season we set high standards, so its inevitable that there is a sense of disappointment with some of the performances. Mahrez was back to his old self, and could have won it at the death. Overall, a good performance. I don't rate Arsenal, but will take a draw.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 From what I saw of Arsenal today and I doubt they can maintain the 12 men all season, they will struggle to make the top 4
Ballie1981 Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 So much better than last week. This time last year that would be a great point, and it stil is now

We do need to make some more signings before the transfer window shuts. If the like of Palace (£26m - Benteke), and Bournemouth (£15m - Ibe) can spend big, surely we, as champions, should be spending £40-50m on two or three quality players, bearing in mind the money that has come in from sales more or less covers what we have spent.
Sammy Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Wes Morgan is a different player when he's next to Huth. Quality

Monsell1976 Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Feel a lot better about us after that, once the players are fit, we will be ok, for me we look un fit, or should I say not as fit as we should be. To come away from playing arsenal, and only a biased ref helping them out, stops us winning, proves how far we have come.
Matt Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Fair result on a whole I though, i'm abit disappointed we didn't win in the end though, but between 75 and 85 minutes I thought we were going to concede. Peno at the end? I thought so, but i'm over the other side of the pitch and bias, without sounding like Wenger I'll need to see a replay, but like I say I thought it was from first reaction and i'm hearing the outrage and words like "Stonewall". I usually rate Clattenberg and whilst i'm not going to blame him for not winning, he was a fucking nuisance today, getting in the way and missing a few things! I'm happy with a point though, I'd have took the before the game, and look we lost to them twice last season, we're gonna improve on that this season so there's a positive in itself. I'm alot more positive than last week. Not sure if it was ring rust last week or whether Huth makes that much of a difference, I think he makes that much of a difference!! Don't wanna pile the pressure on but we really could do with winning next week though, Swansea, it's a winnable game, we're at home, nice to go into the (Stupid!) International break with a win, and 4 points from the first 3 games I think i'd have took before the start of the season (My pre-season scenario would have been beat Hull, lose to Arsenal, draw to Swansea - but doesn't matter how we do it in reality though)
Bluetintedspecs Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Enjoyable 0-0 Much better than last week Clattenberg shocking Massively more positives than negatives
