Ranieri has kept faith largely with the team from last year but it's time to tinker... Question is whether there is enough strength in depth? Probably not for the "top" teams but we should be fine against the rest.

Tactical play by Claudio! He has his eye on Europe this season. After all we've already won the Premier League. So play badly and get battered 4-1 by Liverpool just before our first game of the CL and put Club Brugge into a false sense of security.

Where we go from here is the issue. To be going into the Champions League with Amartey as a central mid in the first team is quite embarrassing. We've missed the boat in not signing a central midfielder of real quality.

Well that was a shambles. Absolutly no highlights from that. Defence was a joke. How have we not strenghtned that. Mahrez should be dropped now. Why are we spending 7 million quid on a player and he doesn't even get a look in on the bench. Our team is the only team in the league that has got worse. We need to forget about what we did last season a bit and concentrate on this season. Terrible pre season, transfers and start to the league.

We were diabolic in our other away game at Hull too. This is not a one off.

Musa looks like a complete donkey out wide.

Amartey looked good against a shit Swansea side.

And our back four is now horrible exposed.

 

The most frightening aspect of today's game was we hardly created a chance....against a team with Lucas in the back four. I'm afraid Claudio and the boys have ****ed it big time. And this league is the worst league to play catch up in. It's alright bringing Slimani in, but we've got major and I mean MAJOR issues at the back.

Agree Col and I don't think we've brought in quality at all. Back four needed looking at, especially the centre back position. Midfielder needed as you say too.

 

Simpson goes off injured but Ranieri has got rid of our other right full backs so we're stuck with a centre half at full back.

Desperately need a change in formation. Kante is looking like a biggest loss ever every game. We do not have good enough midfielders to be able to play with two in the middle against teams that aren't shit. 

 

Mahrez needs dropping. Defence needs sorting out. What the **** was Schmeichel doing for that 4th goal. 

 

Awful. Good win for Liverpool, didn't even have to break a sweat.
