Never looked in it. Could have made them sweat a bit if Vardy scored at 3-1 but it wasn't to be.

It would have papered over cracks, Liverpool deserved that win and should have had more

Still champions :riyad:

How long do you intend to dine out on that?

We were fvcking clueless today and couldn't have complained if we'd lost 8-0. And it's not a one-off - this started in pre-season. The defence is horribly exposed without Judas in front of it, and the entire team seems unbalanced and completely lacking in desire. It's beginning to look like the pundits were right about last season - a freak season where mediocre players all exceeded their natural ability. So, so disappointing.

Well, Liverpool the better team today and played very well. Thought Musa played too deep when he came on, could've been more useful if he played alongside Vardy centrally. Ulloa did alright. Schmeichel made a lot of saves. Reaction needed but I'm not 'that' concerned.

I say again...it was the same team that finished last season as champions, in the same formation. Minus Kante.

No coincidence.

Where we go from here is the issue. To be going into the Champions League with Amartey as a central mid in the first team is quite embarrassing. We've missed the boat in not signing a central midfielder of real quality.

Yeah because different mentality, different desire and hunger, different tactics, poor preseason and god knows how many other things make no difference at all. It's all about one player.

Burnley play 4-4-2, Burnley don't have anyone close to a Kante and they won 2-0 against Liverpool. We without Kante previously rarely played that badly. There are far more issues at play here than the loss of one player.

He's brilliant, of course any team will miss him, but focusing just on that is wrong and misses the "bigger picture" as you so often like to say.

I lost interest when the third went in, as did the players. Looked like we had two eyes firmly on the brugge game.

Anyway, move on. All will be right with the world when we beat Brugge on Wednesday

It is not about the players anymore. It is about the system of play. The 4-4-2-without-Kante is no longer efficient against energetic offensive lines. The ball is in Ranieri's court.

Embarrassing display from the Champions of this country.

We're either woefully unfit or the belief and desire has left us. We're not even getting stuck in properly. The amount of space we allowed every one of their players is astounding. Not just out wide, but around the box, in the box, in their half and in ours. It's like we were afraid to tackle. We built our success around getting on top of their players and crowding them out.

Obviously we're badly missing you know who, and Amartey failed badly in that role today (first goal case and point) but that's no excuse for how we collapsed as a defensive unit today. Morgan kept going walkabout, Fuchs didn't even look fit enough to run we were slow to everything. We just lost the plot after a while, our decision making went to shit and we were just pulled apart by an average side.

Individually we were shocking as well. Too many players just performed terribly. I'm not impressed with Hernandez or Musa as new signings either. What do they offer? Hernandez is extremely shaky and if we're using him at right back then he simply cannot play there. Similarly Musa is not a winger but more to the point he's just not very good.

Very worrying to see 2 absolutely dire performances like this one and at Hull. It seems we've been ridiculously naive thinking we could just lose Kante and not bring in a like for like replacement. That is the catalyst for these troubles, no doubt about it. But the lack of desire I saw today is not really on.

Remember when we won the league?

We lost 5-2 to Arsenel about this time last season. What followed was magical.

It's going to be harder this season but it's a continuous improvement. Anyone who expected us to coast through this season is new to football. There are 34 games left. A lot can still happen this season and I'm certain we'll find our stride again soon.

Today's game wasn't even comparable to that Arsenal game where we didn't even play that badly. If I had to compare today's performance to another game it would be the 6-1 under Sousa. We were THAT bad.

it's people like you what piss me off more than the result,

4-1 flattered them today,we were sloppy at times, but we had a goal at 2-1,3-1,then it might have been a different game,

Remember were Leicester city,

stop thinking we were better than we are,

Lcfc fans,in here,are a deluded bunch,

without any realism

We've already lost to Hull and looked poor in that game too. Non comparison to last season.

We'll be ok. We'll score loads of goals I think. With Jamie and Slimani we'll always be a threat.

The concerns are obvious:

1. What do we do with the midfield? Today, if Mendy was fit, Amartey wouldn't have played and we may have looked better? But if Mendy proves to be bang average, the midfield is now poor at this level. That's why we are conceding goals so freely.

2. Wtf is wrong with Mahrez? He's been pants for weeks. As in, really awful.

If 1 is ok (if Mendy is ok) and if 2 improves, we'll be around 6th or 7th I think.

However, if 1 and 2 remain a problem, we'll struggle.

It is more the way we play 442, it is nothing like how Burnley do. We tried to play today but didn't have that ball winner to get us moving forward, Kante stopped attacks and got the breaks started... we aren't a defensive team at all that is the problem we scored the second highest amount of goals last season, we push forward and use our pace. Kante made it work because he was able to cover, break up play and move the ball quickly better than anyone in the league and possibly the world . we have to change now. The way we played last season was pretty unique

We really need to adapt to life post NK and quick,  Mahrez is back defending now and Drinky is not the same player as he is not getting the prorection he did last season. We fcuked up in the transfer window yes get more strikers in if you need them but we all know what was needed so why didnt our hierarchy

As far as I can see, it's the main difference. Nothing else has changed.

All your other points are intangible. You have no idea if the team have different desire, hunger and all the rest of it. You might be right, but could just as easily not be. I'd rather focus on what I know has changed.

Morgan crap,Mayrez crap,Claudio hasn't a clue.Schmeicel can't kick...anyone else we hammering today having lost to a team who WILL give a good few teams a shipping!

Honestly we really need to evaluate how far we have come and what we've achived.
