it's peiple like you what puss me off more than the result,

4-1 flattered them today,we were sloppy at times,but we had a go,at 2-1,3-1,and 4-1,

Remember were Leicester city,

stop thinking we were better than we are,

Lcfc fans,in here,are a deluded bunch,

without any realism

4-1 did not flatter them at all. It should have been more.

Don't get me wrong we could've had a goal or two more but they could have scored at ease if they needed too. Liverpool did not have to go into 5th gear to beat us today.

I tell you what, I couldn't listen to another word of Steve McManaman banging on about Liverpool.

Whose bright ****ing idea was it to have him commentating?

Everything that was 50/50 was definitely in Liverpool favour according to him.

**** off you curly haired scouse nonce.

He won't be reading this, he's busy pick pocketing the Leicester lads outside Anfield.

Kante was the most important player for us last season, he is what allowed our more creative players to shine. And not have to drop back so much... We haven't replaced him with anyone like for like

Same players yes but one world class one down and Amartey in who isn't Kante and was there last year but couldn't get a look in with Kante about. So basically we have gone a bit backwards unless one of our signings can be better than one or 2 of last year's starting 11. The worrying thing is almost every other team in the top half seems to have got better. 6- maybe 8 teams will be breaking away in a couple of months. We need to drastically improve pretty quick to not be left behind.

He also covered the defence so much. We're so open now.

Had we beaten Hull we'd be on 7 points with two wins, a draw and a defeat. Comfortably top  half and only lost at Anfield!! Chill out its early days.

What? we didn't beat hull and didn't deserve to that is the problem, so this makes no sense

What a humiliating reality check.

When a club breaks it's signing record three times i'd expected to see - not a better unit - but of a team more capable of standing shoulder to shoulder with the passers and movers of the Champions League.

Instead I've never seen such a once united and committed group look so disjointed.

As already mentioned Kasper was all that stood between defeat and a near double-figure hammering.

In a few short months Liverpool have clearly improved dramatically and we've gone backwards.

Was it Stringer who suggested Amartey's an emerging replacement for Kante? On todeay's show that's like comparing Dobbin with Arkle.

Amartey looked like the proverbial ball-watcher. Leicester's defence was opened up like the Red Sea saga of Biblical times except the "Red" related to Liverpool shirts pouring through the gap left when what should have been two banks of defenders, were opened up by the selfless running into space and support by Liverpool.

I didn't expect miracles from Amartey because Kante's a man apart but not only did Amartey leave so many runners as  they attacked our box he never showed the slightest urgency in trying to make amends.

Yes, when the game developed in cruise control Amartey did alright to a point, winning a few headers, and involving himself a few continuance passes.

But it was Drinkwater who busied himself like a dervish, contesting everything, trying to defend and support, playing with exactly the same honest and ceaseless endavour as last season.

Several times I specifically looked at Amartey's demeanour as home attacks plundered goals or near misses and my abiding memories are of a guy who, when the ball had passed his station - was just sauntering back leaving the consequences to our hard-pressed back line.

What a one-trick animal the team's become too. Gain possession and counter with a quick ball to Vardy. Apart from so few of the balls being properly or accurately flighted it was all so wasteful of possession Liverpool showed we couldn't afford to squander.

There was so little movement even from throw ins, let alone in open play and no cohesion. Our ball control was unreliable, there was far too little support for the man on the ball going forward and so little imagination in any of our play.

Musa looks a capable attacker if someone would give him the ball and a role to play but there was no signs of it from today's shortish cameo and it gives be no pleasure to say that Liverpool so easily exploited the available space out wide in exactly the way I'd said was a major weakness - by having at least two attackers trying to feed off quickly delivered passes inside.

I felt a bit for Kingy. How we needed his ability to pass and retain the ball to at least keep the outcome respectable.

Very few in our team could feel the slightest satisfaction from their performance today.

Vardy scored and might have had at least one more. Mahrez offered him that golden chance but didn't look fluid. Kasper made his various saves although there's no excusing the mess at the end and Drinky's sprits never sagged for a moment.

Other than that we looked like a team of reserves against grown-ups....lost.

Klopp is a good coach. He'd knew that our central defenders won't generally be drawn out wide (though Morgan strayed that way leaving the space behind him for one of the goals) and he countered that by using width on both flanks thus widening the spaces and passing the ball low at different angles into the box and having dummy and receiving runs to feed off the chances an shoot on sight.

We need to learn fast on this because it's a major flaw and one we won't easily rectify while we're as disjointed  as we were today.

And if The Queen had balls she'd be King.

4 points  out of a champs league spot.

Get some perspective here its eary days. As someone said we got spanked early by arsenal last year and look what happened. Gotta believe.

It could be worse, we could be stoke lol

Did Kante play in that Arsenal game?

We always looked dangerous and played some fantastic attacking football in the games before that. We looked as bad as we did under Pearson when we were promoted in the game today.

All our new signings look poor. We're going to have to hope that Slimani can score us some goals and lift the team, otherwise there's a strong possibility we'll get relegated.

Mater class from Klopp. Simple as that. Liverpool played a false 9, Morgan and Huth not knowing who to mark, Sturridge pulling onto our full backs with runnings on coming. Liverpool will beat a far few sides this season especially at home..Wouldn't worry about the result to much.

On to Wednesday we go, only thing that pissed me off is only Kasper and Vardy came over to clap our travelling fans.

It is more the way we play 442, it is nothing like how Burnley do. We tried to play today but didn't have that ball winner to get us moving forward, Kante stopped attacks and got the breaks started... we aren't a defensive team at all that is the problem we scored the second highest amount of goals last season, we push forward and use our pace. Kante made it work because he was able to cover, break up play and move the ball quickly better than anyone in the league and possibly the world . we have to change now.

We were very defensive, without the ball our shape was excellent last year, backs to the wall stuff plenty of times just like Burnley did. We made it hard for people and often forced them to go wide, our shape today didn't make it hard at all. Gone was the tight lines and compact play... In came players all over the shop, giving them acres of space inside, outside.

Of course we miss him defensively and on the break, Amartey was poor and it's not going to help. But it was all over the field, slack marking, space everywhere for them to pass through.

Guys, stop freaking out! It's only pre-season.. still plenty of time to tinker with the formation ahead of our league and CL games. Plus now that the worst player in the starting XI (Simpson) is out, we can replace his defensive liability with someone better! Still plenty of time left in the transfer window to sort it. We'll get a like for like replacement for Kante with Gueye!

And that remains the main issue. Ranieri needs to find a tactical solution as there is no more help from outside (transfers).

If my aunty had balls she would be my uncle... losing at Anfield is not a big deal I mean we lost there last year and we were awful then too. Losing at Hull is and that should have given the players a jolt. I'm not panicking yet as it is early days but the players look very tired that's what's worrying me more than losing at Anfield

it was disciplined but the creative players shined through because they haven't got to worry so much about things not coming off, because Kante was there to sniff anything out in midfield and maintain the pressure. We defended well but it is no Burnley... We created so much against every side we played.

Well.... Very disappointing. As for the defensive side of things, particularly Morgan not being on it, coming back from Jamaica after playing 90 minutes in an international, 48 hours before a PL match was bound to catch up with him. The last time that happened was before the Southampton home game last season, and he very nearly didn't play because of an upset stomach... I respect his pride for his heritage, but it really bothers me that he has to travel so much, in such a short space of time.

As for the rest, just shocking... I'm lost for words. This is going to be one long, tough season......
