Decent performance per last season's standards, rarely troubled. Moments of individual brilliance from us combined with a hatful of defensive mistakes and offensive bluntness in front from the opposition made the scoreline comprehensive. Albrighton MotM for his goal, tireless workrate all over the pitch for the full 90 minutes with decent use of the ball.

Mahrez was Mom for his free-kick and brace of goals which won the points but Amartey desrved an honourable mention as runner-up for his sustained and generally effective Involvement .

Kasper : good

luis hernandez: he is just a long thrower (he chose a wrong sport)

wes morgan: he is absolutely not a player i watched him last season

robert huth: good

fuchs: good but not his best, maybe because albrighton was not playing infront of him all the match

Drinkwater: Class 100% we should build a team around him and vardy.

Amartey: not the solution, doesn't give the pressure we need, and just do a very simple things, nothing special at tackles and interceptions

Mahrez: no doubt he has a great talent and ball control, but he is not the man you can trust on him one-hundred %

Albrighton: MOTM, his work rate and mobility and definsevly is excellent, i begin thinking to bring him in central along side with drinkwater

Vardy: same as Drinkwater above

Slimani: i'm not impressed by him, gives the ball away, and his passing is heavy and shocky, which could lead to turnovers.

I'm mostly OK with those ratings. Probably a bit flattering on Morgan and Hernandez given the opportunities that all came down their side, all involving Izquierdo. Would also say Vardy was substantially more dangerous and effective than Slimani. He got two 'assists' afterall.

Thought Hernandez, Amartey, Mahrez and Albrighton were star performers. It was a very decent all round display.

He isn't a full back.

He looks slow and in a full back position it's always to be cause us trouble.

How anyone can give Albrighton any less than 9 is beyond me...He saved us on many occasion, at times it was like having Kante on the wing. I've never witnessed such an unselfish winger.

I can't believe the low marks for Slimani... he is what we've been looking for for so long, big, powerful, mobile and a threat up front.

Finally an alternative to plan A

Difficult to give a motm cause there was so many candidates, most of the team got 8/10 from me. With the lowest of 6/10 for the players coming off the bench, who weren't that bad of course, but with the game already won there wasn't really much for them to do. For the sake of two goals I'd probably give the MOTM to Mahrez, I know sometimes I don't like giving the MOTM to a player that happened to have scored and base it on the fact but with so many players having such a good game it came to that to decide for me. Vardy was great of course, who won both the free kick and penalty. Albrighton was fantastic to, also the new lad was exciting to watch at times.

On Club Brugge they actually didn't look to bad at times, created quite a few chances but were let down by some poor finishing and poor defending at the back.

Kasper 7 Not a lot to do

Hernandez 6 Did his job but is not a right back

Huth 8 Thought he was organised, composed and a wall. Unlucky not to score

Morgan 8 Leader

Fuchs 7 Best game he's had this season

Albrighton 9 Unselfish, worked so hard, so important defensively too  MOTM

Drinkwater 9 Laughable that Hodgson left him at home. Ran the show and what a shot with his left foot

Amartey 7 Very decent game from him, looks strong but needs to be more confident. Worth remembering he's still young

Mahrez 7 Getting better with every game. Amazed he's stil taking penalties though! Beautiful free kick

Vardy 9 As with Drinkwater, should start for England. They absolutely couldn't handle him

Slimani 8 Hated his foul on their defender- no need. Otherwise, really good performance . Links play, strong, looks a goal threat. Huge upgrade on Shinji

Demarai Gray looked fantastic and super confident when he came on

10 for Ranieri - first game in Europe he could have been forgiven for playing it safe and packing the midfield. He did what he did last season- believed in his players and went for it.

Vardy 6? He ran them ragged, ran through their defence twice winning a free kick from which we scored and a penalty. He was a menace all game and absolutely back to his best.

8 for Vardy, Mahrez, Albrighton,

7 for the rest, 6 for the subs.

Slimani needs game time with the team but looks good indeed. A bit of physical presence upfront will intimidate a few defences, creating space for Vardy and Mahrez.

Defensively not great despite the clean sheet, mostly due to their poor finishing. Amartey was often not positioning well, but getting better with experience.

Blending in the new players needs doing slowly. Claudio got that right, keeping the shape with the substitutions.

Looking like the team we should have started the season with. The poor pre-season effect is over (hopefully).
